This deck should not be doing well, for me, considering I constructed it for funsies and cards like reincarnate, Feugen, Stalagg are not really the hip cards being played today. Yet, I'm somehow at Rank 3. Although, I've avoided Priests at this point though I'm sure my luck will run out soon. Doing well against the Hunter, Druids, Pallys, and, sometimes, Mages though.



The latest modification I've made compared to the last one, I've posted, was replacing one Piloted Shredder for a Harvest Golem.

Well, at Rank 2 now. If I don't make it to legend, at least, I can chalk off beating a streamer with this deck while they were streaming. Went against DeerNadia (there was probably like 1k viewers at that time), top-decked Bloodlust and was two off from lethal when she only a Ragnaros on the board (she was playing Warrior). I had like 4-5 minions on the board. She couldn't prevent me from getting lethal on her turn. Won it there.

It was a close game. I feel bad now. I like her streams at times.

i will propably get called a douche for this again but if you guys would stop and act like legend players are some rare kind of plant and just played your games to the best of your ability and trusted on what got you to the higher ranks in the first place, you would propably have better results.
the thing is people who got to legendary really like to tell themselfs it was this huge achievement and that it was real hard, while in reality it is not.
people act like the games at rank 2 are significantly different from low rank legendary games while they simply are not.
if you got to rank 1 or 2 for multiple seasons its propaly not about your raw skill but you propably choke when **** gets real.

cool down, relax its no big deal just do your thing and everything else wil fall in place on its own.

lost 11 stars since last night. Went from 2:4 to 4:3. I'm not even sure how it happened. I don't track stats because I play worse when I do (and didn't track any stats on my run to Rank 2.) I believe I was winning something like over 75% of games though. That Priest deck just did work. But now it doesn't anymore. I was having Turn 4 losses to Mech Mage when that never happened before. And like Turn 6 losses to Paladin. I don't know if I changed my play style or was just getting unlucky or what. I don't even want to think about it really. I'm just continuing to donk away stars faster than should be possible. I'll be back to Rank 6 in no time. Send help pls.

Insane to think that if you invert the winrate from last night I've hit Legend by now. I agree with donjonnie actually, it can't be hard. I'm just complete garbage at the game. If you were any good you should be getting at worst Top 50 Legend every month with ease.

The thing that has helped me deal with losing streaks more than anything else is tracking my games, just to see which games I curve out in. Playing druid, the games where I miss turn 2 wild growth, and my opponent hits their curve, I just write those off. I just focus on the games where I hit my curve and lost, and try to identify the mistakes I made, or any rng swings in those games that didn't go my way. It puts losing streaks in perspective and you start seeing them for what they really are instead of just wondering if you're playing bad or not.

Don't stop believin'. I have been from rank 2 to rank 6 to rank 1 to rank 4 this season.

I roller coaster my ranking from 2-5 all the time the last couple seasons. Clearly its either harder at the higher end of the rankings or were all choke artist.

Ranks 5-2 play legends very often, it's really possible you guys are basically .500 vs top notch competition which is good enough to tread water but not good enough to push through, barring a luck swing or whatnot

yeah I basically played all day long. Got the "you've already earned 100 gold message" which isn't particularly noteworthy except that I got it when I was Rank 5:2 and I started the day switchover at 3:4. So that's what? At BEST a 30-42 record today. In reality something closer to like 40-52. Rofl. Maybe you guys understand why I get frustrated now. When you play that much but are still garbage it's pretty frustrating.

just over 24 hours ago I was 2:4, a mere 7 games from Legend. Likely 80-100 games later I'm further away than I've been all week.

Bobbo is right. I'm pretty close. "Can sometimes run 50% against top notch competition" is decent. Just not good enough. At least I do feel like I'm improving and maybe within 2-3 years (like I originally predicted) I'll be good enough to get Legend consistently.

Soooooo salty right now. Back to rank 2 this afternoon...then a 7 game losing streak. Done with it this month. It was fun. Got other stuff to do this weekend. See you on the ladder circa 4/3.

Back to Rank 3, rofl. I remember those old ranty posts I'd make about not minding games that take 20 minutes so long as you're winning, but I'd always lose them. Anyways, rungood, lucky matchups (note that Rogue win tho ) whatever. It's just a shame that I tilted so badly 2 days ago from Rank 2-6 otherwise this could have been the final push.

I've made huge progress this month. There's still a chance (+5 wins/day) but hopefully this confidence carries over and BRM doesn't screw me too much. Finding this deck feels like a huge part, but I was also able to learn a completely new deck in an unfamiliar class while at Rank 5 and immediately start winning games with it. Regardless of how this month ends up, there was minimal salt (for me) and I feel like I've learned a lot, so I'm happy.

Been working a bunch this month. Have barely had time to clear quests, but I just hit rank 4. Kind tempted to give it a run.

Playing an anti aggro demon lock which is matching up fairly well lately, but it just seems like no one has any clue how to handle it. People popping voidcallers without any answers for what comes out.

Back to Rank 2. Replaced Piloted Shredders in my Priest deck with Violet Teachers after seeing TempoStorm's #1 rated deck of the week, "Midrange Druid" do the same. 8-2 since that change and 45-30 since I made it back to Rank 5:1 (after deranking from 2:4 all the way into the Rank 6s.) Running a solid 60%. Sometimes still losing the odd game to Facehunter and losing a ton to Zoo & Demonlock when I was doing really well against them before I started keeping track of stats.

Best matchup in these 75 games is actually WARRIOR surprisingly, 10-2. Is that normal? For Priest to be so good against Warrior? Mage 8-2 and Hunter 11-4. Paladin is just so so close either way, often making for epic matchups, and I'm somehow an even 2-2 with Rogue.

CAN WE DO IT? Just gotta go I guess... 75-50, keeping that 60% winrate. Rofl that's still 50 games away even if I play really well. This game is ****ing insane.

How do you mulligan? Just dig for wyrm/portal every time?

I've generally been keeping mana wyrm, frost bolt, unstable portal, mad scientist and sorcerrers apprentice. I'll also keep kirin tor mage if i have the coin. Kezyn mystic vs mage and hunter, loatheb vs rogue.

I was lead to believe that when you're facing players ranked in 1000s Legend at the end of the month they are playing trolly fun decks and will sometimes concede to give you the win. This does not appear to actually be the case.

meh, 4 hour session, went 13-13, stayed exactly at Rank 2:1. Feel pretty pissed for wasting 4 hours of my life but at least I didn't donk away to Rank 6 like I usually would have done, so I guess there is some sort of positive.

just really annoyed when I lose to Facehunters with this deck because it really shouldn't happen but they're just so ridiculous (feel more ridiculous than when I play them, that's for sure) and when I lose to Mages because again that should be a lock. Like I *feel* like I easily could have gone 18-8 tonight and onto Rank 1, but things just didn't work out. Bla bla variance bla whatever.

its pretty possible to climb a massive number of spots in a day, the whole legend ranking is really silly with how much you can go up or down

that said, you sometimes WILL run into trolly decks or quick concedes vs low ranked legends (this wont happen in other situations obv)

Don't worry, I'm sure if you keep grinding someone will let you cheese your way in.
