i tried grove tender(s) in my big ramp for a while. i also feel im not elite with druid. but my conclusion was wild growhts were better, having both was too clunky, and you get punished with just the tenders too often.
i played a lot of portals the season gvg came out and assure you i went on tons of streaks getting elven archers and dalaran mages
people just cant shake the mindset of legendaries being super rare in packs but equal to every other minion here. there are like 1.5x as many legendary as epic for instance
What is the appeal of UP? Spend two mana to get a random card where you save 3 mana? So basically in order to save 1 mana net you take a random card over any other card you could put there?
edit to add: And you don't even always get this 1 mana swing.
UP has tons of synergy with Sorc apprentice/mana wyrm. I didnt find UP that great in mech mage but its amazing in tempo mage. Even when you pull a crap card it turns out being a 0 mana drop so it really is great.
Opponent playing druid and seems to have a standard double combo deck. Plays a combo and pumps it all face bringing me down to 13hp. I play malganis to prevent second combo. Opponent plays bgh, innervate, combo.
Ok, this is pretty troll. I beat the guy that drew Hogger and Toshley from his Unstable Portals. The very next game I'm up against another Mech Mage. I play 2 webspinners and draw 2 Captain's Parrots.
