Congrats starving. I need to give shaman a real shot, as totem shaman definitely fits my play style. Just assumed it wasn't that good since it wasn't well represented on ladder.

Yeah, previously I'd played almost no Shaman, because no matter what I did it just didn't seem strong. What made it work is a focus on the strong early drops and not trying to do anything "gimmicky." Just curve out and keep them on the back foot the whole time.

Doing it w shammy is impressive. Even with the additons its still not super strong - just really struggles in the pally matchup. Congrats!

Standard current mech mage list. Wasn't really gonna go for legend this month but I got to 5 earlier than usual and started to entertain the idea. I couldn't continue my arena run the last 2 days without completing a 40-gold quest so I played a bit of ladder and went damn near undefeated until I was one star away. Got gatekeepered the first 4 tries, losing twice on 2 of those, ruining whatever great legend rank I thought I had lined up. Ah well, still nice to be back.

Well done all so far! Never been ledgend myself but pushing as hard as I can this month. Been stuck 2-3 for days now and getting nervous I wont make it.

Your posts make it seem as tuough you only play 1 deck is that right? I'm rotating 1/2 a dozen based on my mood. Maybe thats my problem...

Most ppl stick with 1 deck and specialize

any rotation of dragon priest/secret pally/gp is prolly really really good and will get you there. rotating other decks is probably questionable

I've always wondered how people grinding up handle that balance between keeping it fresh (by rotating) and gaining the extra small edge by truly specializing one deck.

Tend to personally prefer the specializing since it takes so much effort to maximize edges with all the major matchups, but can also see the other side about keeping it more fun.

It is sometimes nice to have a couple of decks that accomplish similar things and is good in the current meta...two go-to midrange decks..two go-to controls...two go-to aggros...etc.

I just play whatever my quests are. As the game intended!

I'd say up to level 5 you can play just about anything remotely competitive then from 5 to 2 you can mix and match on mood but unless you're a truly great player who can legend with any deck, going from 2 to legend you need to just grind with one top deck and get into a rhythm. That way you cut down the variables.

Probably played ~1/3rd of games with a version of secret Pally but as mentioned earlier rotated through a half-dozen more for the rest.

Not shown: 2x Avenge and 1x Competitive Spirit. Troggzor recent inclusion at cost of Quartermaster. Not sure if I like it better but it's fun to play at least 1 card no one else is. He's hard to evaluate the strength of as his imapact is often on the the cards that aren't played.

Yeah, all those games in and I still can't decide if I like the pally matchup. It's like... either you just wreck them with hex and earth shock, or they end up running you over. It felt like a very hot or cold kind of matchup.

Ding Ding. Hit legend for the second season in a row...wasn't sure if it was to be this month as i was rank 6 a couple days ago...but had a nice streak a couple days ago to rank 3. so went for it.

These were the three decks i grinded with the most. One is a fun, different take on midrange hunter...very combo oriented and was good against dragon priest and secret pally.

I played my secret deck from rank 4 to 2 and then switched to Cora's secret pally version (streamer and member of Vicious syndicate) for the rank 2 to legend push...she hit rank 5 legend this season with that deck and gave it a whirl...really strong, but most forms of secret pally decks are still pretty strong at the moment.

Just hit top 15 simultaneously on both NA and EU. Did it mostly with CW on EU and patron on NA (no cards for anything else there).

I def like patron the most now that I've played maybe 1k games of it and still I feel like I'm learning and improving constantly. There's so many more meaningful decisions and you have way less time to think about them compared to most other decks I can think of.

I made it! I used a pretty standard Druid build, but with Argent Horserider in place of Shade of Naxxramas. Before that change, I was having trouble getting and keeping board control early, and the Shades were making awkward trades or sometimes dying to Consecration.

The Horseriders really help vs. Hunter and Paladin. After adding them at rank 4, I went 61-35, going 16-9 against Paladins.
