Hit Legend on EU

Particularly proud of this since it's completely free to play. I'm also shocked my rank is so low; must be a ton more legends on EU. (My winrate on EU is actually slightly higher than NA, although I suppose I did a lot of the EU vs non-legend competition, whereas NA always has been against the best, I suppose)



I changed my Oil junior deck a lot. I don't have Thalnos or Edwin, otherwise I'd use them. This was the final version for today where I finally just scrapped Kezans. Still ****ed up mages.



I guess the biggest things to note are the Gnomish (using it for card smoothing, since I lack Thalnos being card dead was slightly more common pre-today) and only 1 sap. The healbot is there due to the ton of hunters, it straight up wins that matchup (more than Kezan, even)

I'm pretty happy in that combining NA and EU, I've now hit legend with most of the classes. The two major "snubs" are Mage and Hunter, by far my least liked classes. Not really even sure what I should do next season, although "experiment with Blackrock" seems to be top of the list.

Note that the 9-10 record against Warrior includes an awful lot of non-control warrior warriors. Probably went about 7-2 or so against weird hybrids/otk/midrange, and maybe 2-8 or 3-7 or in that vicinity against true control warrior. I can't explain the poor winrate vs warlock, other than I ran into a ton when I was fully teched vs secret classes and had awful luck vs handlocks in particular.

First time hitting Legend after spending a good couple of months focusing pretty heavily on constructed over arena. Used a lot of oil rogue and tempo mage to rank up, and then a heavy dose of paladin with some more oil mixed in at rank 4 and beyond. Feels pretty good

Hit legend on the month. Took me a while in days played, but I think it's because I ~evenly split time between not playing AS intensely, doing the PvE, playing some tournaments, and playing on asia and europe more.

-AS I read that back, the "not playing as intensely" runs contrary to those statements, but I mean it sincerely, as far as total time invested.

59.2% win rate on the month, which is a shade lower than last month's 61.5ish. But this is between EU too, (would have to check to see in depth, which I'll do later) Just under 400 total ranked games, so many 200 on NA? Not shabby.

Ever since getting the card back I've stuck to arena and never broke rank 15, but wanted to go for legend again this month. Hit it on the 14th after 161 total games. Just a really clean (70% WR) run all the way down from R19 using control warrior:



Not sure if I'll do any more of that since I don't have the time to top 100, but homebrewing another deck next month sounds fun. I have my sights set on dragon warrior.

A slightly tweaked face hunter 95% of the way. The meta was very favorable the last week with all the zoo, and to a lesser extent midrange pally and shamans.



Pretty standard aside from having no glaivezookas. Having 6 ones drops is a must. If you don't have a one drop and you go first you're going to have a bad time. Snake trap is pure value because no one ever plays around it. It wins games. Leeroy is overrated and I flip flop between him and a 2nd arcane golem quite a bit.

Hit legend on EU (again). I guess I did it with 30 mins to spare :X



Stats this month were super unimpressive: (I played about 20 games with combo druid, with the spectral knights, and a few games of face hunter/patron warrior... Maybe 10 total) Maybe 330 games total, a bit of a sub-60% win rate.



Meta is bad for rogue, though. I found, especialyl this past week, to dislike all my matchups. You may notice Hunter and Mage is so good, stats wise: For half the month or so I used 1 (or 2!) Kezans, since I found that matchup to be so prevalent. It hurt the Zoo and Druid matchups the most. Warrior continues to be really tough. Of the 38 games, more were Patron than CW - Patron is a bad matchup, even though it's a LITTLE better than pure control warrior.

It's a shame paladin went out of the meta. The beginning of this month (and people experimenting with Dragon paladin!) was great for me, since I (obviously) love that matchup. It's really hard to lose. I also dislike the priest matchup even though I think 66.7% is close to the true win rate; the deathlord deck is a pain in the ass. (Sometimes they just run you out) Only 6 shamans out of 300+ games is insane.

Depending on techs, and the reason I really do love rogue, is the only true bad matchup typically is warrior. Up until recently warrior just isn't played much. Obviously that is changing.

It's the 28th and I don't feel forced to push legend hard. The post-acheivement zen mindset is definitely the best part of hitting legend. Superfun supergreedy super-suboptimal control warrior games incoming.

The Grind paid off. Only been playing seriously for like 2 months or so. Def put in some money (prob like $200 or so).

Much thanks to Bobbo and KremePuff for helping me refine my Paladin deck that got me there. And thanks to the rest of the 2p2 community for a ton of great resources getting me started.

And thanks to Capone for sweating the end of the last match and without a doubt giving me the classiest legend brag photo you can have. I was playing a Freeze mage in final game, so it was warranted.
