Brann should be absolutely amazing in dragon priest. Twilight welp becomes a 2/5, wyrmrest agent a 3/4 taunt, blackwing tech is a 4/6, twilight guardian is a 5/6 taunt, azure drake draws two cards, blackwing corruptor deals 6 damage(!), nefarion gets 4 spells if you run it, shrinkmeister/cabal steals a tirion etc. Not great with injured blademaster though League of explorers discussion thread. Also what happens with voljin, does it swap stats then swap back?

I really wish museum curator was a 2/1. I don't think that would be super op for a class card. It could still see play if brann works out though I guess.

I think things like Brann + Shieldmaiden, Brann + Healbot, Brann + Azure Drake are going to make it a staple in control decks. I still wonder if it works with Coghammer, given that Coghammer says give a random friendly minion taunt + divine shield. With the wording I think there is a non zero chance it can proc on 2 different minions..

I would assume it doubles Coghammer since it isn't something you choose like BGH. But we shall see.

yep discover is from all available cards to your class, neutrals and class-only, but obviously no neutral spells so yeah.

Looking at this some more, Discover a Spell is sooo much better than drawing a card from a Tempo Mage's deck. You're 25% to get exactly Frostbolt or Fireball, which are the two best cards in the deck. A lot of the slower mage spells are almost always good given that having at least 5 mana was a condition to drawing it - Polymorph, Flamestrike, Pyroblast. So you're already at 48% to get one of those five cards.

A big chunk of the trash has situationally high upside. Stuff like Frost Nova and Echo. Even crap like Vaporize and Dragon's Breath in the right situation is significantly better than drawing a card from your deck.

It's pretty hard to get a crap card. There's enough always good cards and only a few always bad cards. It is much easier to get a crap card drawing from the top of a Tempo Mage deck.

I think you have to run two Ethereal Conjurers in Tempo Mage.

btw, cursed blade is definitely a face warrior card. 1 mana deal 6 damage is pretty buff.

It's gotta be a nerf to blingatron and all the other cards where you can steal class cards. It'll never be played in any real constructed deck.

It's not a nerf to Blingtron. Just adds more variance. If your opponent gets it, you probably win, even when you're a bit behind. Same the other way depending on opponents class (the less direct dmg spells they run the better). No one that runs Blingtron is going to stop because of it.

Sounds crazy to say but I wish they would have given at least like 2 weeks notice for the expansion, to build a little hype and allow people to save up gold and what not.

People don't even have time to do card reviews or theorycraft much.

Very unusual to announce something and have it drop like less than week later.

Far better than waiting months and months for sure, but I mean, a week more would have been ideal IMO.

Did some digging. Loe will be released nov 12 (2 days) and the first wing releases 10 cards:
Djinni
Scarab
Anunisath
Summoning stone
Rumbling elemental
Holy trial
Reno jackson
Ancient shade
Obsidian destroyer
Dark peddler

Explorers hat and torch auto get released.

So basically my prediction is...
Arena meta will shift, albeit slightly. Remember tgt cards have been emphasized; paladin gets slightly weaker with fewer murloc knghts and seal lf champs.

I think arena for warriors gets ever sk slightly better bc obsidian, and shaman slight buff.

For constructed, i think ppl will try reno decks (i will), but secret pally will get another secret to try, and maybe flamewaker or freeze mages try torch
