what paladin? after the bomb hits and two from baron you are practically in combo range with no playable minions in hand. game seems extremely tough to win from there unless druids hand is total garbage and you have a good top deck

Maybe a noob question here but I was kind of confused in this spot. He had already played 2 Blackwing Technicians, so he's running some sort of Dragon focused Paladin Deck. The Cogmaster wasn't part of my deck, but the 1-drop minion I got from his card.

I snapped the photo after I made my play, so go back to before I dropped the Shredder.

Do you guys think the better play is going Consecration and remove the minion from play, leaving the 2/1 in play and unshielded, or putting the Shredder in play and going face/face with the 2 other minions?

Hey Zim, this is a classic case of tempo vs value.

(The right play is to develop the shredder)

Interesting spot:

There are a few viable plays here. Opponent is a zoo with some demon synergy.

juggler+ owl the egg + dude, and clear the board (how depends on juggler hits.) seem strongest.

If u have any indication that opponent plays hellfire/shadowflame i might owl the 8/5 and kill it with shielded minibot+dude and pop the egg and kill the 4/4 with truesilver

I like 2 plays, not sure which is better.

Pop egg with gliblin, equality, make juggler and a dude. Kill whatever's remaining.

OR

Silence 8/5 Truesilver it, send rest to face.

I guess you can crash all dudes into 8/5 and Thaurissan, but the discount is not that impactful. If he doomguards, you have to truesliver next turn and make a weak 3 mana play. I think I'd rather have a board of minions.

I'm not quite sure what the right play is, but I'm pretty sure playing Thaurissian at any point is terrible.

Is there anyway out?
Spoiler:
Yes, there is, but it's really difficult to find

Trade the shield maiden into the highmane, brawl, have the spider win, armor smith, armor up?

seems like a lot of ways with brawl rng. best case is to play armorsmith, trade into highmane, war-axe the creeper, then brawl and have armorsmith win. leaves you at 4 health

I mean, if by 'way out' you mean not dead to the board, it's pretty easy. trade shield maiden axe the spider, brawl and armor up. you'll be left with 5 and he'll be able to hit for max of 4 with hero power and a 2 power minion. not sure if you win from there often though.

Well you can win if you draw Alex, Shield Block or a Shield Maiden so not too terrible, probably average at least 3 of those outs left.

sure, not dead >>>> dead but hunter's gonna have 4-5 draws for lethal. thinking about it more, if a 1/1 wins the brawl you should drop the armorsmith instead of hero power so that you can cruel the acolyte next turn for additional armor and a card so in that case you'd get a minimum of 4 armor that following turn.

really curious if there was a better move. I just started playing some control warrior recently and I have to say that in general, it's a super awkward deck to play. I feel like I leave sooooo much mana hanging throughout the game which is so counter-intuitive to the way I'm used to playing with other decks.

Toss in the acolyte and armorsmith and brawl? lol

I think the best play here is to:

1) pop the egg with gilblin stalker
2) equality
3) kill nerubian with weapon (going down to 14hp)
4) kill voidcaller with guy
5) play knife juggler + guy

In this way, you preserve minibot divine shield (important vs. zoo for killing a lot of low hp things and getting a 2 for 1, and develop a pretty nice board (stalker, shielded minibot, knife juggler, guy). The only thing you lose is an equality, which isn't as important in this matchup since a lot of zoo cards already have very low hp. It's pretty important to preserve the silence for voidcallers so as to avoid giving him free doomguards/mal'ganis.

Why hit something with your face when you are going to going to juggle a ping after that? See where ping goes first. You can always hit opposing hero with your weapon for that one damage, so doing #5 before #3 is strictly worse.

Would like some help on this one, had no idea what to do.

I'd drop the golem and make a guy and go face. You have no good trades and that uses mana better than either 4 play. Mech yeti is obv not a high value silence target.

How bad is hitting yeti with shredder, the phoenix with spider tank and consecerating?

(Im new)

its probably the other play he was considering so it's not that bad!

I think Im always making michaels play there. going face seems ripe for getting destroyed by some flamewaker+flamecannon+missiles type play

ending with a 3/2 and 2 drop against nothing with truesilver follow up seems good

This is what I did, ended up winning the game. I roped that turn, which I almost never do, as I had no clue what play was best.

Very minor decision here, but these are the types of decisions that make the difference between winning 1 or 2 additional games per 100. Basically, opponent is pretty obviously Dragon Warlock. The emperor must die, and the aldored corruptor can be ignored. We played Sky Golem, so... How should we trade? Again, it's very minor, but do we kill off chow to heal him 3 and leave a bigger board with a taunt (equal stats) or do we keep chow off and consolidate, by throwing in the recruit and slime? 3rd option is NOT trading, but I assure you all that is incorrect.
