I don't think there's any class specific stuff to know about zoo. It's just about dominating the board early and then knowing when to go face vs. trading. It's an aggressive deck that actually does play the control game.
generally play your best minion on curve unless theres a good reason not to. think about how each minion deals with what your opponent has out and will likely play in the next turn or two.
if that shaman opens with a leper gnome obviously coin out the creeper to challenge it. if they do nothing then flame imp is perfect. if its a trog then Id probably flame imp to trade into it with the plan of following up with a creeper on 2 into juggler + something on 3 while breaking the creeper.
I know this game takes risk to won, but is this one of them?
SuperJJ had a gagdetzan, prep and flurry in hand and a SI on board against Emperor on turn 6. JJ Gadget and prep'd and blanked. This was against a Druid with 4 cards.
I would have just taken the 5 to the face and cleared.
The question also is about how much resources should you throw at emperor. Because it would've taken 5 hp, blade flurry and a redagger (iirc)
I had a strong read he had no frostbolt because he had an opportunity to use one the prior two turns and didn't, but i still traded and dropped the minions
Honestly I think you should go face and ping. Take the chance that he can't do 8. You can evaluate if you want to bomb his 6/1 or whatever he plays next turn without too much penalty (unless you've got highmanes incoming or something) Do you have direct damage left in your deck? When he's got such card advantage I doubt you're going to win by value trading, plus he might not trade and drop a 5 or less health taunt if you're really lucky.
Why would you hold back? You go face an hero power. Opponent is on 3. He trades and has a 6/1 on board. You bomb squad the 6/1hero power.
If you just drop it a turn earlier you force him to have removal or taunt. You also already but him low enough to finish him with double hero power you don't care about getting value out of the bomber and you'll have no minion on board if you hold back so unless you top deck a charge bombing a taunt next turn is irrelevant.
