What's the best minion to get for facehunter when you start out?

I'm looking at this and I got the Hunter stuff, but need the non-class minions.

I haven't played enough games as face hunter, but against them I'd say Worgen Infiltrator is thr strongest turn 1 play, folowed by Abusive to the face with it on turn 2. Leper Gnome best other 1 drop imo.

Make all those neutrals. They are all useful in tons of decks and its like 700 dust to make all 18 cards.

Worgen is the elite turn 1 drop. Abusive more of a latter turn play where you can maximize your mana unless you have no other 1 drop.

Anyone else laugh their asses off when someone loses by proc'ing explosive trap? It's happened a few times today.

Leper gnome is a better overall card for face hunter (and in general) but worgen is a better turn 1 play 100% of the time.

That's fair. I've played more Hybrid and Midrange than straight face and I haven't found space to fit Worgen into those lineups.

So I dumped $40 bucks on this game. Would probably drop another $20 because $60 is the price of games. Got Naxx and some packs. Got a golden epic or rare for 400 dust and finished off my facehunter. Now people add me and talk **** lol.

Some hunters Jesus. I'm playing Maly/Dragon Lock and have a full board of sub 2 health dudes from implosion and previous trades and I know the trap is going to be explosive, it 100% isn't freezing, but I need to get some big minions on the board and clear out some **** to make unleash not as bad so I proc it. "My Apologies". Hur durrr yeah thanks you got me. Glad I ended up winning that one. Setting up lethal for next turn with a Corrupter and Healbot drop...."Sorry".

Warlocks of either really persuasion can't complain about Huntards imo. Both are AIDS as hell to a lot of other classes lol.

When I know it is explosive and I have a developed board, I tend to just not attack. Since most face hunter decks run really low health minions, you can clear the board before setting off the trap. The tradeoff is that you'll be taking a bit more damage to your face this way. I woudn't so this with 4 or more minions due to unleash, but with 3 minions I think it's good to just not set the trap off. (I run Kezan in both of my ladder decks though, so I can always draw it some amount of the time).

A recent example I was playing my Hunter (2x highmane, boom, rag, etc) against a true face hunter. I managed to have 2x jugglers on the board because he was too dumb to kill them since he had an explosive up and of course I have to set it off. Except, not. Drop a belcher next and just never set it off. He conceded on turn 6. I've found it to be a truism that face hunters at anywhere above rank 10 tend to think you will set the trap off immediately and don't expect to get played around it. You can't always not set it off, but if you recognize when you can wait, then wait. Yeah, the next minions you throw down might take 2 more damage, but against a true face hunter it doesn't matter at all. They can't win if you survive to turn 5 with like 15 health.

Actually turn after turn 5 facehunters like mine can be extremely deadly. Depending on class I'll save my Owls and go right through Belchers. I managed to 2x UtH with a Juggler on board and one of those RNG buff thingies from random companion and hit face twice, and did 12 damage with minions.

Admittedly, most of the time I'm dead if I don't get cards.

This actually makes me jealous no one has done that to me. Think it's time to go full face hunter. I've been slowly making my mid range more aggressive.

It's only happened twice since I been farming the ladder. But LOL.

this is especially true as a freeze mage

I'm not going to set off a trap unless it's to my advantage (like triggering a freeze trap with a healbot lol)

in most of the games I win as freeze mage vs hunter, their traps just sit there the whole game since I don't need to attack them or their minions

"Thanks" is just too good of an Emote after you just face roll to a T5 win. I don't even face hunter and I get it.

I usually just spam my cards and "I will hunt you down!" Though I must say the first time I did it I wasn't paying attn to mana and killed myself against a shaman because of it lol.
