Seasons also need to be longer to naturally mitigate this.

wish I wouldnt have to start from rank 15 or w/e it is every season. it's pretty annoying for both the weaker players and the stronger players at the beginning of a season. also a speed mode would be awesome where you only have 15-20s a turn

as mentioned numerous times in the main thread, just cut the time limit on turns. Give players a time bank to use for difficult turns, otherwise shorten the games.

Either make the seasons a little longer or make the amount of levels you drop between seasons smaller.

A timebank for the entire game in addition to the per turn timer (with less time allowed per turn), similar to the timebank in poker tournaments.

Personally, (and I know this will never happen) I wish they'd do away with the stars entirely and change it something like the experience bars when you're leveling (where you just lose experience when you lose games) so that if a game goes longer or is more intricate, you gain more experience, the same way as when you're leveling.

My reasoning for this is that getting Legend takes a significant amount of skill, but it also takes a pretty high volume of games played unless you go on a sick heater.

So, if I build a rush Warlock deck with a 55% winrate that I hate playing, that's going to let me rank up faster than say, a Druid control deck with a 60% winrate that I like playing, because I can play four games with the Warlock rush deck in the time it takes me to play one with Druid control.

I mean, yeah. The game rewards playing fast efficient minions and smashing your opponent in the face with them, it's built into the core mechanics of the game and unavoidable. I just wish the ladder system didn't actively punish slower decks as well.

Also, I wish they'd build a mechanic so that every time you play a card when you have blatant lethal on the board, there's a 1/10 chance your portrait explodes and you lose.

Yeah, you have 25 power of guys in play and I have 4 life left. Congrats. You don't need to take a full 90 seconds on your last turn playing out your hand, killing all my guys, going to the rope spamming "hello," and jerking off to your golden taunted windfuried 20/20 Lightspawn (or whatever other dumb thing you're doing).

Agree with this a lot. I don't enjoy fast face decks in general, and really like the puzzle side of some of the longer matchups.

Yes a BO3/BO5 mode once legend is reached, because it's just 1000000 times more interesting than playing vs mechmoron 100% of time

So decks like shaman, priest anti-aggro and things like that could be playable and not only the decks that are ok against everything like War control, mech mage ..

Before the tourney I thought ranked was mostly fine, got to 4 last month and wanted to push higher this month.

After tourney format I find ranked far less fun.

tourney format is unquestionably better, but its pretty hard to implement that on ladder!

Bo3 would be a terrible idea on ladder IMO. Games already can take 20+ minutes, one of the beauties of the game is that you can fire it up and play a quick game and be done. Also imagine being stuck in at least 3 games against some idiot who thinks it is awesome to BM all the time with emotes or roping ever turn. At least on ladder you can get away on the next game.

If they did a best of 3 it would have to be in addition to, not instead of.

Tourneys inside the client has to be a future update surely. Implemented as an additional way to play alongside constructed single deck matches and arena using multi deck rules like the HR world championship.

Pay x gold or $ to enter, winner gets the pool. Simple sit and go style tourneys would be relatively easy to implement, heads up, four man knock out maybe some eight man ones that would rarely run. Maybe give some rewards for levelling up through them, five wins card x, ten card y etc etc or even every five wins you get a special pack where all the contents are guaranteed to be gold, whatever makes most sense but something to incentivise grinding if that is what ppl want to do.

Pretty sure the issue with tourneys like that is a bunch of legal stuff. Gambling and whatnot.

Time Bank and shorter turns is sorely needed imo. I played a near 30 min game against a priest yesterday where he took over 20 minutes playing his turns, never had more than 2 minions on the board, and at no point was there any chance he was beating me. He died to fatigue with 5 cards in his hand.

different ranked formats (conquest, bo3/5/7, mirror match only, arena last longer etc.), leagues, automated tournaments (large, mini), ranked arena, ability to wager gold/packs/dust, different formats by releases (base/pre-naxx format anda base/naxx/gvg format), spectate multiple matches at once

i think they can get around it because there's no cash value and no real way to redeem it for cash. kind of like stars play money tournaments.

I would make it easier to figure out what class you're playing against at the mulligan screen if you don't hear it announced.
