I'm getting pretty damn close to an infinite arena player and i can't fathom why i'd ever do this, and am sitting on a huge gold/dust surplus right now

Like my mind keeps trying to justify this and i just can't. Is this just a one week thing?

As best I can tell it will be a one week thing that will occasionally be there instead of regular Tavern Brawl.

Over a large enough sample size, the occasional 120 dust and 420 dust pack balance with the 40 dust packs to create an average of 100 dust per pack.

bragaments?

i would imagine getting a 12 win run would feel pretty sweet

hmm, i could see people doing this is the rewards were more gold-heavy so it was plausible to go infinite, but wtf are serious players going to do with packs/cards/dust?

I think it's just standard format.

They did the math on Reddit and it turns out the rake is 29% lol.

If it were actually possible to construct a deck that countered the most popular meta decks, I would be all over this. But since it's not, kthxbye.

I think the post the pointed out that day 1 of the brawl will be softer than any other time is good.

I also think that once the brawl settles in a bit, not a single person on earth will theoretically be able to beat the rake.

Hopefully Blizzard is using this is as somewhat of a test for a better game mode that they wish to unveil in the future. Otherwise, seems like a lame ego/gambool brawl.

Getting to 12 wins will be as much a fluke as anything. If it's just standard constructed you'll have all the best players playing all the best decks and almost every game is essentially a coinflip.

what wrong with that? any major poker tournament is just all the best players playing the same game with the same cards

reynad is right that 99% of the reddit saltiness is from people too broke to have 1000 gold or too bad to play. They are the ones who call the dance stupid because they don't have a date.

Will definitely be fun watching streamers do this. Glad they added a new feature, even if I don't partake.

I just assumed since it leveraged the Tavern Brawl name it would throw rules curve balls in as well. Watching these games will essentially be no different than watching high level legend players try to grind ranks the last few days of ladder.

I find it more redundant than anything. It may make streamers rage a little harder when they lose I guess which will be entertaining.

They shouldn't rage that much. It's 10 bucks an entry and they get paid to play. A little more is on the line but most of them don't need cards--a few have a ton of all golden decks and don't need the gold. Just a little more will be on the line than normal. For those without a huge collection, the incentive is huge but the odds that they win are very slim.

I have 2 accounts, one with almost a full collection and not much gold and another with 6k worth of gold and a much smaller collection. I may try this one time on my other account knowing it's just a waste of 10 bucks or 1000 gold.

what makes you think it won't be tavern brawlish rules in the future? it is an idea for a different competitive structure that they are trying it out. that is a good thing even if it doesn't give 100% of people 100% of what they demand right this second. the first brawl was awful, unbalanced, and just re-used an adventure game then expanded from there to have some cool stuff.

anyone know the limit of runs you can do?
The Heroic Brawl Thread Quote
10-18-2016 , 04:43 PM
Apparently capped at 5 runs per week.
The Heroic Brawl Thread Quote

I bet you could keep paying them $10 per run as long as you want!

edit: or not
The Heroic Brawl Thread Quote

Yeah I have no idea why they are planning on capping it at 5 runs, if someone wants to keep plunking down $10 seems silly to stop them.

I think it will be fun. I never have the patience to play the same deck during the whole seaseon. And I am bad too. But with this I can test my best decks and see if I am worse at this than at arena
