every mana is extremely important and breaks the combos if you cant play em. and its the combos most important piece

going from 4 to 3 is aids with thaurissan.

So is the meta going to be all aggro decks now? Glad they nerfed it though. When the entire meta revolves around 1 deck for months and months, it's good to get some variety.

I wonder why they chose to nerf warsong in this way that basically kills the card and thus kills the deck.I'm sure they could nerf it in a way to make it a tier 3 or 4 deck (make it cost 4 mana, give it 2 health, do both, or remove charge from minions that go above 3 atk). As usual Blizzard is not just nerfing something but nerfing it into oblivion. And I wonder why they chose warsong as the nerf target rather than battle rage or frothing or grim patron.

Best thing I can think of is that they decided that it's just a poorly designed card that has too many OP possibilities and is limiting future design space and since they can't delete it, they just give it a useless ability.

They already nerfed it once before. I think they just want to avoid having it pop up again. So yes, I think it's a future design space issue.

Is Warsong the only card to get nerfed twice? Obviously they figured out that any card such as this is prone to be broken. I don't understand why they made the card useless, tho.

It was nerfed to a playable card, they decided it was worth the buzzard treatment this time around

UTH was completely reworked because it was broken and then nerfed from 2 to 3 mana.

*Make Warsong's effect stop working if a minion goes above 7 attack
*Make Warsong's effect stop if it dies
*same as #2 but also make it a 2/2.
*Warsong's effect only applies to the last minion summoned. (Spawn a patron=Froth loses charge)
*Frothing is now a 3/2
*Frothing only increases when your guys get hit
*Battle Rage cost 1 more and/or doesn't draw from hero damage

Would all have kept PW alive, it would have taken a hit, but it'd still be playable.

He's probably right (players were almost certainly overreacting to how powerful it was) and they probably nerfed it for more reasons than simply being OP.

Don't forget, blizzard has access to every single patron game ever played. They don't have to guess how op it is, they just look at the data.

They said the stats didn't bear out that it was particularly OP but they still didn't necessarily like the playstyle it promoted.

With all the silence in the meta and the fact that you don't buff the 6/6, it would be either fair or unplayable.

Here is my read on the new meta:

Paladins, Face Hunter and Zoo lose their worst matchup. Face Hunter dominates Paladins and Zoo, so it should be very popular. Druid, Handlock and Control Warrior lose a common favorable matchup. Handlock loses to Face Hunter and most Paladin variants, so I think it's done. Control Warrior stops benefiting from opponents that are unsure what they're facing, which should push it down a little.

I think Control Priest is suddenly very viable. It cannot beat Handlock and Patron, and struggles against CW, but is strong everywhere else.

One nice thing about patron was it was a cheap top tier deck. I started in mid Jan and looking at the other top tier decks I'm missing a ton of the rares and epics.
