I made a video guide on how to get the Galaxy Cardback since it can be difficult to follow text instructions if you've never done this before or are a 75 year old man like Bobbo.

i know there's been speculation that the announcement on the 22nd has to do with a new set, but anyone think it has something to do with brawl? the timing is right (wednesday) and i quote from the original hearthstone brawl page

'Tavern Brawls will have free admission when the new mode becomes available. As part of the launch celebration, you'll earn a free card pack when you win your first game of the week in the first several brawls!'

its been 5 weeks now? seems like the timings right there as well. staggered prizes based on how many wins you have that week would be cool. plus it would give extra incentive to keep playing. but this is all speculation of course

Good guide, straight to the point, just did it and confirmed it works, got the card back and 3 free packs. I have a decent machine and the emulator still ran like crap, that's how it goes though, have used them before.

The Gennymotion site is being overwhelmed by Hearthstone people doing this though, so they have throttled their registration so that part may take awhile, just keep trying. They tweeted about it.

The packs were decent actually, got 2 rares I only had 1 of before and a golden prep, which was 400 dust after DE'ing.

So who were the people arguing that animation length affecting gameplay is a "good thing" because in balances patron?

obviously nozdormu is bugged but this is completely irrelevant to the game. you can already win after turn ten with a few specific cards, and those decks dont require playing a nozdormu (that has to stick for a turn) and brewmasters in them

I'm all for an entry fee to T Brawl if it comes with incentives to win (300 gold but you get a classic pack every 10 wins.)

But they're announcing an Argent Tournament Expansion Card Set. It fits the timeframe (every 4-5 months) and all the hints they've dropped. (Scrolls to websites look like AT, story hints point to AT, a new thing on the main website points to AT) And it's time for another exp. (Adv-Exp-Adv-Exp) So Late August-Early September.

Yeah there's too much hype behind it for it to be anything but an expansion.

Is Nozdormu actually 15 seconds? Someone was saying it is actually only a certain percent of the regular time for a turn but they changed it from 90 seconds to 75 seconds so it's actually shorter than 15 seconds. It seems shorter than 15 seconds.

I had a mage play Nozdorumu from a winning position against me, but I could make my plays in time, and they couldn't, lol.

I'm pretty stoked. I beat all of Naxx normal today as well as the first 7 class specific things. I beat the first wing of BRM and the hunter class quest then built a face hunter deck(had most of the cards and only needed like 400 dust) and got to rank 19. I'm debating if I should finish up the rest of the PVE stuff first or build a new deck that isn't face hunter.

Does warlock have any bad matchups? It's all I'm facing right now and I absolutely hate playing against warlock. Handlock, zoo whatever. it always seems by a long distance the most overpowered class.

Yeah, Hunter of any kind is favored over Warlock of any kind (more or less, might be some builds which do >50 percent against specific hunter decks, but I can't imagine much more). I assume MR Hunter is a pretty decent favorite over any Warlock.

Pretty much any rush deck is favored over any Warlock deck. Warlock trades health for draw, so any class that wants to rush their opponents health first has an edge there

Since it sounds like a new expansion is coming out I have a question for those of you who've been around a while.

When GvG came out did they change the arena pack award to GvG right away or did it take some time?

Agreed, BRM did very little to shake up the meta so it's been stale for awhile.

You had four cards from it become major players: Grim Patron, Imp Gang Boss, Flamewaker, and Emperor Thaurissan.

I mean, look at all the cards from Naxx that saw heavy use

Haunted Creeper (still very popular)
Nerubian Egg (still very popular)
Undertaker (whole decks built around it till nerf)
Unstable Ghoul (has seen use on and off, used in Patron)
Sludge Belcher (the most widely used taunt in the game)
Deathlord (used in a lot of Priest decks)
Mad Scientist (pretty much an auto-include for Hunters and Mages)
Zombie Chow (still heavily used)
Shade (popular in Druid)
Echooing Ooze (popular in agro Paladin)
Loatheb (one of the most popular legendaries in the game)
Kel'Thuzad (not heavily used but you see him sometimes)

The problem with BRM was that like 75% of its cards were designed to work with the whole Dragon thing, and Dragons just never became a real thing, despite people trying to make them happen.

In Naxx you had a lot more all around versatile cards.

If the next set is a full blown new set type (like GvG) with 100+ new cards it's pretty much a guarantee that the meta will be heavily adjusted.

they just need mroe dragon cards so that the dragon cards that exist have a chance to be a thing
