So I've recently picked up the game again. I played some in the beta but not much at live. I've been trying to get all classes to 10 to unlock all the free cards but I want to invest some money into the game now. Right now I'm thinking something between maybe $100-150. What would be the best use of my money? I'm thinking of picking up the two solo adventures and then buying as many packs of classic as I can. Is that the best way to go?

How do you recycle quests, or what does that mean?

You can reroll one quest per day in the hopes of getting a better quest. Just click the X in the top right corner. Generally you want to try to reroll 40g quests into 60g ones.

100% Buy all of Naxx.

BRM is weird because the first wing of it is 100% needed with Emperor Thaurassian and Grim Patron. Quick shot is a must for hunters. (Gang up is cute too)

The 2nd wing is.. garbage but you somewhat need it if you want to build an aggro warlock deck because imp-gang boss is the best 3 drop for warlock.

The 3rd wing of BRM is hot garbage.

The 4th wing of BRM is only needed for flamewaker.. but even then, the rest is garbage.

The 5th wing of BRM is hot garbage.

My advise regarding BRM. Buy the first wing. Then the rest with gold when you play more.

As for classic packs.. I guess buying 60 is the best $/pack rate you're going to get.

As for buying GVG packs.. Unsure, since if you are going to play arena, all your pack rewards is going to be GVG packs, so.. keep that in mind.


So in closing. With $100. Buy all of naxx ($25) and buy 60 packs of classic ($70) and buy the first wing of BRM ($7). That's $102.

After that, just start playing. (Also, don't worry about GVG packs, very few cards are needed from that set. (only 1 neutral legendary in Dr Boom).

Yes... You need those cards (if you're going to play that class, that is).

Also, tavern brawl (the new free content) will not work until you level a character up to level 20.

Struggling mostly with Control Warrior and every variety of Hunter.

Solid favorite vs. Tempo Mage and every variety of Warlock, although Zoo can be a tough matchup sometimes.

control warrior should be a solid edge to the paladin unless they're super teched for anti paladin (with geddon and whirlwinds etc)

key in that matchup is limiting card draw and forcing your opponent to overcommit

hunter on the other hand depends on how many heals and taunts you're running. it can be an incredibly frustrating matchup although it shouldnt be BAD

is midrange paladin playable without tyrion?

paladin is probably my best arena class but I never play it in constructed because I don't have tyrion

I vacillate between 0 and 1 QM, it's the most overrated Paladin card in the game, so not having them is actually fine

The key cards are:
-2 minibots. Best 2 drop in the game, cant imagine any paladin deck (fast, slow, anything in between) not running 2
-Equality. I almost always run just 1, some run 2 almost always. Point is you need at least one for a complete board wipe.
-2 musters. Fills up board, creates a threat (even if your deck doesn't run QMs), allows you fodder for other synergies (buff cards like BoK, buff battlecries like Argus or Abusive, token fodder like cult master or stormwind or solemn vigil, cheapo trades into face hunter and so on)
-2 aldors. Super fast paladin decks don't run them I think, (and even then they could prob get away with them) but wow what a great card. It's a 3/3 body coupled with humility

That's it for requirements. standard "staples" of a midrange...
-chow (1 or 2)/sludge (1 or 2) This means you need Naxx obv, but if you're playing constructed even the slightest bit seriously you will have them of course
-bgh, since basically every constructed deck runs 1
-double shredder, see above
-The typical meta legendaries: Harrison, Loatheb sometimes, generally Slyvanas, Boom if you have him gotta play him


If you basically go bare bones with the best paladin basic cards (double truesilver, double consecrate), the necessities, and whatever other best slot cards you have, the deck should be solid to good.
