the paladin secrets are stupid

obviously they have to be weak since they're 1 mana but I think making them that way was a really poor decision

shouldve given 1 mana secrets to rogue instead of paladin, or something.

It was the other way around in the alpha, but Blizzard felt Paladin needed something to seperate it from other classes and since Rogue already had the Combo, Stealth, and cards like Backstab and Betryal; they gave it to Paladin.

I assume everything will have to be single elimination in order to keep things moving.

Warcraft3 tourneys were elite though. You could either spam games and try and win or try and sit on a good record. The 3-1-1 open round record decision was a metagame sweat back in 2004-2007. Good times.

Yeah Shaman sucks, I used to play mostly Shaman and I really do love the class playing Midrange. I can't stand the Mech **** even for aggro decks it's not fun.

Any class can get to legend with enough skill and an ok deck. Midrange shaman can get legend, but it will be a much more brutal slog through than if you pick other decks.

It is really annoying cause you can play the RNG to the best of your ability and just get punished for it. At least with mid-range there was a lot of skill in managing overload and planning at least 2-3 turns in advance cause sometimes you need to have the 5 mana on turn 5 for Drake or Totem storm and sometimes you need 6 on 6 for Fire ele, but sometimes not and there is a lot of balancing of risks going on. If you **** up it hurts way more where as other classes you can change your plans more easily cause you mana isn't boned.

I play way fewer games these days and almost 0 Shaman since BRM and just am far less annoyed by things out of my control and the general weakness of the class I chose.

I thought the BRM board was going to get included in the online rotation....what happened there?

Generally I'm fine with Patron Warrior, I think it's a cool deck and has plenty of counterplay with it.

What I'm not fine with is when I play around it all game, leave no sub-3 attack minions up on turn 8, have total board control, 30 health, and threatening minions, and removed their Thaurissan after 1 turn...

i think the english hearthstone facebook posted something about a night at the tavern without a brawl beeing incompplete or something like that.

meaning something alomg the lines of good things tend to come in pairs of 3 or 3 is the charm.
someone speculated it would be a 2v2 mode and the hearthstone facebook replied there were currently no plany for 2 v2 mode.
now that might mean there arent any plans its allready past that stage and about to be implemented or if we take it on face value there wont be a 2v2 mode soon.
so what is it then?
4 person brawl would make sence but than i started thinking more.
how would for example unleash the hounds work? maybe its not that either. so it could be a 4 person husng or it could be a format were you max out at 4 wins in a row.

Not sure, I think it was so early in the dev that I can't even find any cards of those secrets while I can easily find cards that never made it out of Alpha.

tavern brawl looks interesting. wanna see what kind of ideas they come up with. also it doesn't mention rewards other than the pack for first win. its free admission (if i read that correctly) so i wonder if they'll do a separate ladder or something like that to keep it active?

Yes it's exactly a weekly quest. It seems like they are planning to change the reward and possibly have an entry price but they will definitely make it profitable to play, otherwise no one will play it long term.

I like it as a weekly quest. It's an opportunity to invent quirky deck, like in the adventure mode, but against real players.

From what I read, it's not "no" reward. There will be a reward for your first win of each week, though that might be only for the first few weeks.

You'll also be able to do daily quests via the new mode.

I think it sounds really cool. You get to play with alternate rules, premade decks, certain cards banned, etc. It gets around the stale meta of ranked, and the somewhat less stale meta of the arena.
