the only question is, after the nerf, what do I replace them with? Misdirection? Snake Trap? Bluegill or Wolfrider? Deadly Shot? Gladiator's LONGBOW? So many options.

Legendary is still a tough grind. I will try hard for it in October. Even if I don't quite make it then, November should be a realistic possibility.

Played now 20 more since that post, stats:

Twice only 2 wins, which are bad, but overall very solid again. Breakdown looks quite similar to the earlier 20. I find it hard to believe it is only luck at this point and that I have actually learned to play better. Don't know what suddenly clicked after 60 runs. Maybe I had made all the mistakes and now know not to do them?

So last 40 Arenas are now:

Half of the runs have been 9 wins or more, the other half 2 to 7 wins, with no runs at 8 wins. Overall winrate of 76.0 %.

How high are the winrates of the best Arena players? If you think about it, 75 % winrate could be achieved by going 9-3 in every Arena, so how much higher than this is even realistic?

that's very impressive. i think 75% is right around the upper bound... Trumps career stats are right around that, not saying he's the GOAT or anything but I don't really think you can do *too* much better than that.

ever since I posted I was sub .500, I'm up to 60% career, (about 40 arenas total, so not that many) so I also think things are improving

I'd guess 75% is around the upper bound too. BTW, Trump only has 75% pre-12-wins patch. Post-patch, he's closer to 72.5%. Hafu claims a 75% winrate, but she stopped updating her spreadsheet, so I have no idea what her updated winrate would be.

I'm slightly above 70% over 230 arenas and it's remained pretty steady. So I guess I haven't really improved relative to the player pool, but I'm not getting worse either.

thats true, and youll get almost free wins against secret mages if you run flares.

Soo much one off lethal. He played very well though. Second game I play poorly I think. Teammate made it to the final, but lost. The winner is also qualified for dreamhack, so very solid player obviously.

I am thinking Loot Hoarders will be the first I will try. Priest will prob go from very hard to impossible MU

I think 75% is very very nice, I think I was about 70 when I counted, but a lot of the time I would be multitasking when playing arena. Furthermore, with the current system, there is not much of a point.

It would be super nice with some sort of system for ranked arena or arena tournaments

My first 12 win. What an awesome deck. Not pictured at the bottom are a boulderfist, temple enforcer, cabal shadow priest, holy fire, argent commander, and a mind control. I may run it in constructed I love it so much.

As a guy who plays a ton of Arena and not much constructed, it's annoyed the hell out of me that there aren't any "long grind" rewards for arena. It blows my mind as well, since Arena is a fantastic way for Blizzard to rake in the cash.

They could easily, with very little effort, give an alternate portrait for 500 arena wins with a specific class, a golden "coin" card for 1000 wins, an alternate card back, etc.

It wouldn't have to be anything major. Just put an intern on it for a couple afternoons, and that's all it would take to put something, anything in place. Just something minor and purely cosmetic.

Blizzard is the master of getting people to do a **** ton of grinding for really minor and insignificant things, they're really missing an opportunity by not dangling a carrot out in front of arena entries like that.

Tweaked the Druid deck to something that feels decent. Took out Cenarius and KT and added in TWO Deathlords, which seems to be the trick. A couple other changes too. I'll prob post the deck later. Winning games at Rank 8 so it's definitely a good enough deck.

I did just get #rekt by a Mage with Duplicate who had 3 Molten Giants on board at the same time. It seems like almost everyone is running Molten Giants now and just dropping them when they get to 10 health. THE NEW META? What explains this and how do you counter it?

run the raptor into the 7/12 and end turn. Take it out with the frostwolf next turn.
