Since you can't trade or sell cards Hearthstone cards aren't worth anything. You can either play the game and grind free booster packs that way or pay $1 for a booster pack of 5 cards.

you can buy everything with gold you get by winning and doing a few "dailies" (like probably win a few games with this or that type of deck, w/e).

With the gold you can buy packs with random cards.

Also, there is no trading in this one. You craft the cards you want by disenchanting a lot of those you dont want.

You get dust for disenchanting differant rarity of items. For example, commons would give 10 dusts and you need 100 dust to craft a common of your choice (yes in the whole database afaik).

You can also disenchant 4 legendaries to get enough dust for one legendary.

You can also buy gold for money I think but... who cares really.

And I dont think its gonna take weeks or months to get pretty much every card.

From what I read and I can't confirm, beta keys will be sent to your email. It will not show up in your bnet account before. So check your emails instead of bnet.

Beta starting has ruined my night since now all I'm doing is looking for a key.

From watching the streams it is clear none of the big streamers have ever played a tcg before. Or had heard of hearthstone before they got their key.

On the game itself:

I think only the daily quests will give real gold (probably the arena too but it costs like 150 just to enter).

Like standard games give i think 5 gold for 5 wins, which seems insane when packs cost 100 gold (100 wins for a pack if you dont count dailies?!)

I might be missing something.

this is basically torture being one of the few who's accounts are bugged (from their end) and cant buy cards.

Im stuck losing to scrubs who bought a lot of the good cards.

Like you start with 20 of your class cards... >.<

hunter is by FAR the strongest class with only the starting deck.

The synergy is huge while other classes need to buy a lot of cards... Like the rogue doesnt even have a single card with combo in it.

Also, I still cant get over how stupid it is to need near 100 wins to buy a pack of 5 cards.

Arena seems like the way to get packs. You get 1 pack guaranteed each arena I believe, plus if you're good you can basically go infinite - I haven't seen Trump get fewer than 5 wins in 4 arenas, averaging ~170 gold + a pack for each.

Guess ill save up my next 4 days of dailies to get into the arena, but I wont be able to win much with the starting decks.
