how not caring about equal start is 'scrubbish', you already got knowledge which is huge headstart so you'd be crushing on release anyway, but now you will have both knowledge and decks/gold/exp whatever you name it, come on. like every game has a wipe before open beta/release, they did a wipe in the middle of closed beta with no further wipes, how is that cool?

won't be fun getting obliterated just because I had no access to certain cards while others had weeks to earn it.

you have access to all the card info and streams of a few of the best players in the world, and there is no physical or reaction aspect to the game.

You also dont gain anything except experience from playing. I have a few friends that I'd consider very good at the game even if they havent touched it yet.

An average player is likely earning ~50g per day, meaning an arena entry every 3 days or 5 card pack every 2 days. Hardly going to be a huge gap between people who are already in at wipe and people getting in through the next couple of weeks.

Any trickle of rewards is going to be totally eclipsed by people willing to spend hundreds on packs to rank in constructed.

I read they are going to start doing a lot more, frequent waves....which means more disappoint more often.

I got into the Diablo beta pretty late so I'm not expecting much. The way Blizzard handled the whole giveaways in the beginning caused me to lose interest by a large margin. It also doesn't help that I know the Hex alpha is next week.

Disconnects caused by Bnet is horse ****. Gives you an auto lose in arena. Tilt.

Edit: I mean poker has let's you reconnect to finish your hand if you d/c. Why not hearthstone?

Blizzard could incorporate a ton of ideas from poker. Time banks,dc protection,many kinds of tournament formats, HU games for gold would be kick ass, etc.

I feel like eventually you'll be able to have your own avatar in there. For example if you play wow and you have a Warrior, you could have him instead of Garrosh as your avatar. Have they indicated that's in the works?

Pokerstars avatars were so rage inducing. It felt like a quarter of players had a baby, or worse, just an eye as their avatar.

He's talking about using a different, more customized picture in the hero avatar that comes when you pick which hero you're playing instead of what is already given to you -- referring to Aceium's post. Instead of playing Warrior vs. Warrior and having the same "avatar" facing you, you have a different picture than what the other person has....if any of that makes sense.
