I can only remember exactly one time where he’s ****ed me. He usually can read my mind. I can think of so many times I’ve needed a very specific card and he just offers it.

This is the appropriately named Rogue eater as Ogremancer is just a gigantic counter to rogues and is a great counter to most decks. Hecklebot won me 2 games stealing C'thun near the end or a piece of lifesteal DH combo

Craziest thing is i saw it's potential when it was first released but then saw no one else playing it and was like... guess it sucks?

Which is probably an indictment about Hearthstone as a whole right now, where there's a ton of cards that probably excel (Potion of Illusion/Conj Calling) that people just dont play so ergo everyone else doesnt play.

There can't be this much turnover of cards expansion to expansion.

I experiment with cards a lot. I discover sleeper cards all the time, but you need to also have a pretty exhaustive knowledge of what cards are in standard, which I definitely don't have. I sometimes just think of replacing a card and mouse through cards til I see one I want.

I was (and probably still am) the only one playing that dragon in old galakrond warlock that spawns a 6/6 every time your hero takes damage. I needed a dragon and an alternate win condition. Go mousing through my dragons, and oh wow, I didn't even know I had that card!

It worked great. Then what happens is at high legend people will start experimenting like that and other people will see and copy it. Then it propagates down to lower ranks. IMO, eventually, all the optimal cards get played. Maybe some borderline ones don't.

Agree with the copying thing, and I think that's hearthstone's biggest issue.

Take Youthful Brewmaster for example. For an extra 2 mana it's shadowstep with a 3/2 body, but it's available in EVERY class.

Old school stuff also doesn't really see run unless it's stayed in the meta. Khadgar, Conj Calling etc.

Quick mage notes from the mage guy!

Elementals got big support, otherwise im not sure mage got enough to make anything. I dont think hero power mage got enough support for standard vs. say tickatus warlock

I have figured out the cards "force of nature" and "savage roar" combine well together.

i have also recieved a bunch of wins, I've randomly got golden mage and golden paladin, are they counting tavern brawl wins now or something?

I hope they don't skip over the animation of the hero portrait actually transitioning to Golden. I thought that was the coolest part about it. I have a few screenshots of the golden heroes I do have.

If I logged in and found out that a class that previously had 450 wins now had 550 wins and was already golden, I would be upset.

yea I don't know what happened with the wins thing. I definitely got a BUNCH more, like 100-200 per class. I know at one point they were not tracking wins over 500, maybe they finally added those.

Apparently they've retroactively adding all your arena wins to the total.

Classic sure is refreshing. I didn't really think I'd enjoy it that much, I like having lots of cards to make decks with and trying different stuff out, and I'm sure it will eventually get stale, but it's fun playing a format where you know what your opponent can do and you can play around it. I feel I'm playing a strategy game again instead of hurrdurr random spell discovered off a lackey into random minion with rush into more random **** back and forth.

aggro DH is good again so I'm gonna try to make a deep legend run this weekend. bout to hit legend.

Here is the list I cooked up, it's very similar to my old top 50 list but has mana burns + ilgynoth + discover outcast card

Don't know about the manafeeder panteras but it's just a solid card and a good turn 3. Ilgynoth gives insane reach late in the game. This deck relies a little strongly on polkelt but it's fine - if you draw him it's like an automatic win. Good against everything seemingly although mage gives me trouble.

Flex spots: definitely the mana burns could be cut to 1. It's too good not to run 1 of though. Ilidari studies could go, but it's a great all around card. I'm thinking -1 mana burn and +1 ilidari studies.

ETA: actually this deck floats a lot of mana. I want some 2 mana cards. Might do -1 mana burn +1 cult neophyte.

Lol how many releases have they had? Dozens? And I cannot remember even a single time there weren’t insanely bad release issues. Apparently you cannot queue into a match for over an hour now. I cannot even log into the game.

Minutes before it was released I pulled the trigger on the $80 pre order bundle. I swore I’d never do it again after I did it last year, but meh. I’ll probably save money in the long run. That’s good value.

I only played like, one deck the last expansion, so I’ve hoarded 5k gold (should be way higher if i cleared the quests) and several thousand dust. Come at me new meta. I am ready for you.

Also btw this last meta was one of the best I’ve seen in this game. I rarely saw the same deck twice.

It was part of the demon hunter inititate set which was there to make up for the lack of cards in demon hunter's first year. That set rotated.
