Yea that gives priest a two turn OTK but they’d need some other win cond in case you drew one or the other. I’m sure priest could pull it off and we saw how strong otk was last expansion. Id have hoped they learned their lesson about combo decks but it seems not.

I dunno. Only half really saw play? Hunter which was amazing then balanced after nerf, Warlock, Priest and Druid.

Warrior, Mage, Paladin, Rogue and Shaman never really saw serious play, did they?

OTKs are fine in the late game. Turn 30 games are worse for the game.

I don't even know if priests will have the tools anymore after rotation to survive to pull this off.

OTK refers to the ability to take an opponent from full health to death in a single turn. If this takes 8 turns to set up it doesnt mean it’s a 9 turn kill, just that it took 8 turns to set up the OTK combo.

I guess priest has to find a way to not draw Maly or Velen AND draw that 8 mana card. But like how life finds a way in Jurassic Park, OTK decks find a way in hearthstone.

All OTK decks play exactly the same, boring solitare version of the game. Stall, stall, heal, board clear, stall more, get your combo, win the game. Zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz

Hate to say it, but all archetypes get boring very quickly after an expansion's meta is solved. I just don't get why people get more upset by OTK decks that happen in the late game any more than very short games with aggro decks or very long and boring games with control decks.

That’s kind of how these things have gone for a while. There’s been two turn kills in dragon priest for a while but it can win a bunch of other ways.

I think hearthstone is at it's best when:
1 - The number of interesting decisions is maximized
2 - You play whatever card or combo of cards you enjoy playing

aggro and especially OTK reduce #1, while aggro especially reduces #2.

I think jade was patently unfair because any control deck would generally lose to their ever increasing infinite value.

Why is odd control warrior unhealthy? Why is deathstalker rexxar unhealthy?

DSR solos control. I would know because I played the hell out of hunter for the past year.

Odd control warrior is as uninteractive and boring as control can possibly get.

"Oh I pressed my armor button, your move until you give me enough to use removal on." That play style isn't healthy.

I've played fatigue mage (the one with echo of medivh and coldlight oracles years ago), Purple's fatigue warrior, the standard control priest with circle and auchenais, and other control decks. The games were never polarized or as boring as odd control warrior besides the occasional OTK deck.

I knew i had to play around 2x brawl and 2x reckless flurry. It's the same playing against control mage - you can't overflood the board because you know he probably has flamestrike or meteor.
