Griftah can also give you really cheap spells for archmage like Elemental Evocation and Breath of Sindragosa

Yeah I hope this doesn't affect WoW Classic, which is all I care about from Blizzard at this point. Three monkeys can run HS.

The tl;dr of the state of Hearthstone from their financial reportings is that the player base of Hearthstone is stable but revenue is down. Blizzard plans to increase development resources on it in 2019.

Have to admit that for the first time in a while I am not happy about the state of the game. Pretty bland to play right now.

pretty easy to churn out 7000+ gold per xpac with minimal play and just doing dailies at this point

don't even have to spend any money and can keep a f2p model especially with rotation dust

I don't mind control and actually play control hunter off and on, but I think it's unrealistic of players to think control should be the primary archetype. Thirty minute games is never going to be acceptable for the vast majority.

They should actually print better early game cards for control though, and stop printing so much board clears. I'd think it make control less obnoxious. The whole AoE people form turn 5-Jaina is more annoying than cloning priest to me. Warrior is kinda bad, but at least they run out of clears fast.

^On a related note, Odd Warrior is miserable to play against. Zero fun, games with them can and often do take forever (if you don't concede when it's obvious you'll lose in another few mins even though you have close to 30 HP, like I do) and typically very frustrating for the opponent.

The average Odd Warrior game is literally more than 2x longer than the average Secret Odd Mage game. Maybe that's acceptable to some people, but I think it's problematic for the health of the game.

At least against midrange hunter, supercollider might be both the most tilting and highest value per mana card in the game. If your board gets cleared and you're at a minion disadvantage, your situation typically goes from bad to hopeless if they have it equipped.

i love playing control, mainly because it's the highest amount of thinking turns vs. just throwing out your curve.

Problem with aggro and combo though is your deck is largely thought out, and blizzard loves tossing out generically good cards.

Playing magic makes me think HS should introduce a 5 card sideboard. After you see the class you're up against you should be able to swap out 5 cards from your deck with a pre set group of 5. Up against warrior? Throw in those oozes. Might liven up the meta a bit

Control doesn't require anymore thought than any other deck.

It's pretty simple except in mirrors like any other archetype. You figure out how to best use your resources for that turn while preserving resources for future turns.

Warrior is really the nut low to play against, I agree.

control mage and odd warrior mirrors are some of the best games you can get in HS right now

Here's the thing. Blizzard excels at making games. They are maybe the worst at borrowing from other games.

It's the same thing in Hots - they should've stolen/copied 1000 things from LoL, but they didn't, and Hots is worse because of it.

If Hearthstone stole from magic, it would be a better game, because they did so much well. But...

If I start queuing into too much priest I can just switch to hunter and make their portraits explode by turn 8.

Mage, whether you win or lose, will take a lot of time, and isn't quality time.

It's why I don't really rail against any certain archetype in HS. Whether it's dragon's fury into flamestrike, rinse and repeat x4, or mole into crackling razormaw into +4 attack and huffer next turn, it's all ebola to me. Maybe rotation will sort some of it out.

definitely depends on the type of control mage, i agree the one with just all the board clears pretty aids
