nice game, you can't play a strategy that involves actually using your brain and thinking multiple turns ahead anymore

I've been running a deathrattle hunter Firebat was playing and having fun with it, it's decent, bouncing around rank 4. Subs Keleseth and Kathrena package for mechs including the mechanical welp (deathrattle summon 7/7).

BoarControl is cruising in top 50 legend with a Subject9/Putricide secret hunter lol.

I've lost to two Mech'Thun decks now, one priest, one druid, and while it's definitely a lame deck to play against I'll take that 10 times out of 10 over Shudderwock.

I'm at a loss with how to deal with that 2/2 deathrattle summon a 7/7. There's no easy or good way to deal with it really. Maybe silence priest really will be a thing again.

seems like with all the silence and silence effects that should be in the meta--both in control and aggro that they shouldn't be that much of a problem. but i guess those + mechs with all the cubes makes it so you need to silence and remove or risk them bringing back the deathrattle.

warrior seems like it's in an awful spot unless it adds in some silence.

I miss the days of control warrior mirror where there was incredible depth and multi-turn planning involved. They wanted to do away with that. Now it’s just whoever draws their deck the fastest or gets their broken cards that swing the game irreversably in 1 turn.

Gjge i hate this expansion. Maybe I’m bitter because this is the first one I preordered since lich king - and I’m just playing the same decks as pre-expansion but in a far worse meta.

I don’t know if it’s gonna get better or worse after first VS report - it might actually improve for once?

This is definitely going to be a rock paper scissors meta and those are just the ****ing worst.

It hasn't been too bad today. I'm bouncing between ranks 3-5 playing random stuff so it may just be everyone playing zoo and druid is past that and everyone left is just dicking around.

I played 30 games today
1 druid! and he was playing bomb druid lol
5 rogue
4 each mage, warlock, shaman, priest, pally
3 hunter
no warrior

btw, most fun I've had with this game in a long time is best of 7 whizbattles with my buddy who plays a bit but doesn't really have a selection of decks to play.

Yeah I have played maybe 100ish games so far on mobile and I saw mostly zoo and druid on launch day. Since then I've seen very little of either. Lots of miracle, some BSM, some warrior and a bit of hunter. Mind you I've been queuing deathrattle rogue so I'm sure matchmaking is rigging my opponents.

I can't say the meta is bad. You guys are being way too extreme...

Finally get to play the new meta for the first time today, rather enjoying deathrattle mech hunter. You get a lot of the same shenanigans that carried pre-expansion egg hunter while picking up a lot of tempo and early game flexibility from the mech package. Also runs Katerina with Highmanes and Grizzlies for some late game oomph.

Any mill card like naturalize, gnemerferatu, howlfiend/treachery/defile combo. Issue is there are no neutral mill cards anymore but you can steal minions with Lich king card as well. Geist destroys some combos as well but not many anymore.

Goddamn tried to complete a 3 tavern brawl wins quest on this terrible brawl and a guy played normally for the 10 effing minutes it takes to complete the brawl, he had lethal, didn't attack and we lost. Goddamn waste of time ffs.

sjow about to hit rank 1 with maly druid.

i played this deck last night and went 14-7, it's good, even with the absurd amount of weapon hate on ladder. It's a thinking deck for sure too. There are a lot of plays that aren't super obvious and it's easy to miss 2-3 turn lethals. This will probably be the deck I focus on this expansion because it's the only good deck that requires a molecule of brain power

This is a really good idea. and you can share cards now, right? I might do this for my viewers
