I'm sadly in the same boat where I don't feel great about the future of this meta. I know it's early and still settling and there are some cool concepts I enjoy playing (bomb hunter, tempo/pogo rogues, deathrattle priest) it just doesn't feel like anything is strong enough to compete with zoo or X druid deck.

Yesterday I tried playing like togg druid and only face aggro. Today I try control mage and face only super ultra greed warrior and warlock. New expansion same troll matchmaking.

My thoughts are that it won't be aggro, but more boardcentric tempo that is fast enough to kill combo. Zoo/Token Druid/Mech Pally/Shaman(??) I wouldn't call classic aggro.

I hopped into arena today and promptly got a 12-0 run. My 2nd ever 12-0, but this time I drafted and played without any tools or aides.

I was playing the Fizzbane decks and Mech Paladin would usually wreck me pretty hard. They keep throwing mechs down and magnetizing them together and then play that 7 mana spell to bring 3 of them back. I saw the meat wagon combo once, it's not that good but the 5 mana egg is strong.

I also played against some people who I think were playing Mechathun. I hate solitare decks like that.

nvm i thought that antonidas could attack - I guess it's just obliterate 7/7, ping 7/1, attack, fireball

Almost forgot-

3 ways to use Archmage Antonidas:
1) Archmage + Coin + Polymorph (also effective at maybe staying alive another turn - consider going for spellbender with keysmith for this purpose)
2) {1} Archmage (from Pocket Galaxy) + Polymorph + Fireball
3) Archmage + DK spells from The Lich King

I get a kick how every HS streamer’s (even me) numbers get a boost every expac, but asmo’s dip into the sub 1k’s - he’s the streamer you watch when no one else is on hahahaha
