Thanks guys, it was pretty fast last night (about six hours once I started rolling), but I was bouncing between 3-5 in an extremely frustrating manner for about three weeks before that. Tried all manner of decks but nothing really stuck.

I too really like that hunter list, I might give it a go this season. But candleshot is a bit of a weird card, it pairs very well with hunter's mark obviously but that's a very conditional removal and does nothing to work your board in response. It's in pretty much every hunter list though.

I hate eaglehorn bow, so if you're going to run a weapon it may as well be candleshot.

Isn’t that deck supposed to have cubes in it? Recruit devilsaur or krush then cube > play dead for 21 or 24 burst?

there's two versions, VS thinks the non Cube version is better. It seemed to work and feels a lot less clunky than Cubes.

and Candleshot is your only real answer early game, gives you the ability to double poke a firefly or play firefly and poke a mana wyrm etc

Shaw is actually super busted even as just a t4 tempo play. It has premium health and there's very few things that can deal with it (especially any aggro deck). Left unchecked you're basically going to repeatedly clear the board and spiral the game out of control. My final boss a warlock(!) couldn't check Shaw and I coin oozeling into his Giant and the game got out of control.

think of candle shot like getting 3 mage fireblasts for 1 mana.

it's a ping and it's incredibly good early game. if you draw it early against a control or midrange deck just smash face with it. You rarely use all 3 charges for minions against any deck except paladins/rogues.

late game it's sort of worthless but pings are still really nice for decks that look to control the board like hunter does. it's an absolutely crucial card for spell hunter.

i really doubt you need it in katrina hunter.

Candleshot does fine in Kathrena hunter or you get blown out of the early game

not sure what you would replace it with, at least in the Prince list

... and every time I try to play control mage I q into a million shudderwocks and just insta concede instead of wasting 15 minutes for him to draw a deck. so lame.

Tess Rogue is pretty fun, but it's a deck that's borderline at best really.

Still enjoying playing it too much to switch to something else. The time I beat a taunt druid by getting Tyrantus then replaying it three times with Tess + shadowstep was beyond satisfying.

The game was fun there for a hot minute but now every game is vs odd paladin tempo mage and cubelock.

Definitely the newest card in the deck - it's not quite a win condition vs aggro but helps a ton. This deck often has 1-2 minions leftover (like a silenced doomsayer which becomes a massive 4/11 and they already used one of their silences on it) so it's rare for this to not see use. As well it's an extra 4 healing on any elemental while we're in frost lich jaina form.

my new favorite thing in the history of this game is when taunt druids cast witching hour to rez their hadronox and don't realize it's probably going to resurrect one of the 6 1/1 raptors that have died from my cornered sentries, pause for a moment, and concede.

that matchup has to be at least 90% favored taunt warrior. maybe more.
