also i really don't get the cubelock hate, it seriously feels like every expansion people complain about control decks while mindless aggro decks ALWAYS get a free pass

It's still probably one of the highest skill cap decks in the game

i think its just boring and annoying as hell to deal with 3-4 big ass (cheated) voidlords

I guess back in the day i loved playing control warrior and its still just a boringass deck

my problem with Cubelock is you can't play any actual control decks (cube is more of a combo deck tbh) because you auto lose to something that is like 20% of the meta

A couple games ago I was in this position:

My opponent clears my board with minion damage and I start my turn with 7 mana. My opponent has a Skull equipped and his board is: Mountain Giant, Kobold Librarian, Voidlord, and a Cube with 2 Doomguards in it.

His turn 6 leaves 15 mana worth of crap on board plus however much you want to count mountain giant as. Call it 5 so hes got a 20 mana board after turn 6. And as a part of that board he has and extra 10/14 worth of charge if he happens to draw his 1 mana card that heals him for 8.

What about that is high skill cap? Give me a skillful 7 mana play there. From any class.

Look at dude paladin the best deck on ladder - a 5 dude + tarim is 5 3/3s (valued roughly at 3 manax5 = 15) and a 3/7, that's 17ish mana as well.

We've also reached the point where every class can board clear except druid and hunter? i think now

I really feel like voidlords are a much bigger deal for aggro players than control. Even worse if you play 2 voidlords you get really messed up hero power guldans sometimes (like 6x Voidwalkers 1x Voidlord)

In fact i've wondered for a while if 2x Doomguard and 1x Voidlord is the best way to go. I've been messing it with it lately and you can get some insane 25-30 damage 6x doomguard hero DKs

A correction to my post: I had the coin so that situation would have been after his turn 7. Skull on 5 begets Voidlord on 6, and Doomguard on 7 which got cubed.

And any "board clear" is going to leave them with 13/20 worth of stats between the Doomguards and Voidwalkers. Psychic Scream is the only thing that's really going to clear the board but all that really does is delay the inevitable (although it is nice that you're getting rid of 2 Doomguards).

And in that dude paladin example, clearing 5 dudes is a lot easier than clearing any combination mountain giant/voidlord/doomguard. Any one of those minions has more pure stats than 5 dudes.

I think there are few things in play here.

1. Bad matchup - Warlock is heavily favored
2. Bad draw - could have kept Brawl in the mulligan but honestly I don't know what a good draw would be in this matchup.
3. My 6 mana play wasn't exactly Mysterious Challenger power-wise
4. I assume that's a really really good draw for the Warlock

Put those things together and you've got a nasty loss that seems worth mentioning when someone mentions Warlock hate.

I think my top 3 is warlock DK, Tarim, UI

obviously tarim isnt played as much cause only fits in Genn pally. Still think it might be the best card in the entire game tho.

seems so but I believe Jaina DK has the highest ceiling of power level but it's almost like they are aware and afraid to print real support

Finally hit 500 warrior wins.

The final boss was pretty interesting. A bit of role reversal. I was Quest/Face Warrior and he was Deathrattle Hunter.

He eventually succumbed to the overwhelming bumps and bruises inflicted by relentless Stonehill Defenders and Saronite Chain Gangs. Cool concept but I have to think of Firebat's card reviews which usually consist of "yeah it's cool but you play it then you just die". And if even Quest warrior is beating you down.... yeah.

Here's the decklist. It's pretty fun to play. It does very well versus Paladins, Hunters, and pretty much anything that isn't Warlock or Hadronox.

Yeah i have tarim as the best card in the game. Its just amazing how it turns any paladin board into a must kill everything now board, and youve never stabilised vs a paladin until you have seen off tarim.
