Why so eager to be frustrated with the meta?

There are a great variety of deck out there right now. It's not even a week past the expansion. People are trying to make Genn and Baku work in lots of different classes. There are tons of archetypes. We're seeing cards like Hadronox get significant play when it never did before. That's thanks in part to the rotation but this set has cards like Applebaum and Witching Hour that really enable that archetype to be competitive.

I don't want another Librarian/Spellstone/Rin/Lackey/Voidlord/Dark Pact/Skull combination to come from one set. That's setting up one particular class to become ultra-powerful to where it just dominates the meta. Warlock uses 7 of their 9 new cards and makes the most powerful Standard deck the game has ever seen.

Genn and Baku are meta-defining in a much healthier way. Every class gets to try them out. Some decks will be better than others but Genn and Baku don't leave 8 other classes wondering why Warlock gets free Doomguards and Voidlords and brings them back to life over and over and over.

im frustrated with the meta because there is almost nothing new about it because the xpac was so weak

there is nothing to explore, the cards are not only bad, but they are not interesting

blizzard botched this so badly - the rotation should be the most exciting time, but they found a way to have 450 cards drop out, 150 new ones come in and it just feels stale

i mean look at all the decks on hearthstonetopdecks - they are all 27/28 old cards and 2/3 new ones

i want to like the game, i have fun playing it - but this xpac has failed so hard that the game is just not fun at all, and that sucks

EDIT: the odd/even decks dont even have new cards in them aside from baku/genn - i mean, that is just a sad state of affairs

it doesnt help either that i like to play combo decks, and they are basically dead

odd/even is super boring and useless for 7 of 9 classes, cool

This forum has the most negative HS user base of any I've seen AINEC.

I'm running a shudderwock elemental deck with Hagatha and having fun with it. Lots of really interesting turns trying not to overfill your hand.

Other thing you could do: A player builds 2 decks and the opponent gets to pick which deck to play and builder gets the left over. Gives incentive to keep decks close to balance in power.

You could just have it have a strong battle cry. i.e. Battlecry: gain +9 /+9. That way its still valid in arena and could be played with Shudderwock or Brann in wild.

people who post like to whine. decks are expensive. it takes a while for decks to get into the meta. if you don't like HS, quit it. we've heard these same complaints every meta. cheap decks and ones that are heavy from the previous meta are always going to dominate early. people typically get mad because their class or their favorite deck type isn't that popular or effective at this point.

Velen OTK with the new priest epic is alive and well. And it crushes cubes and aggro pretty nicely.

The thing you have to see is not everyone plays for the same reasons. Some people play for meme decks, for fun, and some don't, so there's always going to be a solid split of questioning expacs and the meta. I don't play for fun -- HS ladder is not fun at all. I like to win. Arena is fun, Brawls are fun.
