Kingsbane rogue has to be the least fun deck to play against. I'd rather queue into 50 jade druids last season again than play against this pile of ****.
Running a list with no silence and 2 potion of madness.
Potion is much stronger against aggro and basically works as silence against the 2/2 summon demon in the warlock matchup. I kinda have this urge to troll hard and run illidan or something instead of ysera.
Only hard matchup is mage.
This might be the strongest deck now. Thijs took a malygos version to legend yesterday and barely lost, and it is an awful deck.
I just don't understand that deck. Every game I just whiff and die. Had 2 shadow visions to fish for servitude or essence and die. Next game draw 3 minions by turn 4 and no Barnes and die. Next game have no minions in hand and shadow essence pulls Barnes and I lose on the spot. It never ever works for me. I tried it at the beginning of KoFT lost a ton and gave up til now.
You keep shadow essence almost always on the coin and generally keep horror against anything aggroish. Toss everything else except barnes and keep resurrect if you have essence or barnes already.
I keep stuff like death/pains/potions of madness depending on matchup. I keep dragon fire a lot as well.
It’s a very strong deck if you figure it out. Generally you want to prioritize your health total above board development, that’s a major mistake I see people make
the only really ****ty thing that can happen with that deck is drawing a bunch of minions before turn 6. even barnesing out of essence isnt too horrible most of the time.
I had a game where I had barnes and res in mulligan, and preceded to draw minions 4 ****ing turns in a row. Was unbelievable.
I know it's an awful card, but has anyone teched in eater of secrets? i'm running into so many aluneth mages and i feel like it would make sense to throw one in, but i know you don't tech against specific decks. thoughts?
in most cases, you'd rather have more card draw than tech cards added in
only in those special decks where the core of the deck is so powerful and rich in card draw do you have the luxury of using spare card slots for tech options
Tech cards are fine in aggro as long as you don't try to throw them all in your deck.
Like spellbreaker is definitely needed to improve certain match ups. Ooze probably is powerful in the current meta, but you would have to sacrifice something for it on top of running spellbreakers.
I don't think tech cards belong in other decks simply because you would be sac'ing too much value.
i think calling spellbreakers a "tech" kinda stretches the limit of that term, it certainly is, but it's becoming more of a card that occupies a flex spot, which is a little different. It's a card that has a lot of utility against a lot of popular decks at the moment.
Ooze is pure tech and something that I don't really think belongs in many decks if your intent is to just grind ladder.
