Cubelock is great fun but seems super inconsistent unless I'm playing it wrong. If the skull's in the bottom half of my deck then I really struggle. Made a more generic handlock-style deck which seems better but less fun to play.
It just has extremely polarizing matchups. I think it is a doomed archetype. It gets spanked by every type of priest, and its “good” matchups are becoming less good by the day.
I played a few hundred games with it last month, got 3 stars from legend and then the priests just punished me too hard.
Warlock is fun but yeah it sucks on ladder with all the priests. Unless you bink some sort of otk with doom guards you basically have no chance to win. But works in tournaments. But with all of the silence in the meta, it definitely is struggling more with aggro.
Double Spellbreaker and double Mind Control meta doesn’t make for the most fun experience if you’re playing a deck that cost several thousand dust to create.

Right now I've just been saving my gold by doing the daily quest for the next expansion. So should I just continue saving gold right now till the next expansion drops so that I'm not behind everyone that has cards from this standard cycle?
Likewise, when the first 2018 expansion goes live, Whispers of the Old Gods (April 2016), One Night in Karazhan (August 2016) and Mean Streets of Gadgetzan (December 2016) will all rotate out of Standard.
So don't invest in any of these decks and I wouldn't overly invest in anything but the best cards from the 2017 sets--i.e. the top neutral legendaries, epics, rares and the best class cards of the decks you want to play.

Id probably just play arena till april if you can get good at it. It's a playing field you can compete evenly on and will get you a bunch of packs from the new set for cheap.
There are some great cards in that adventure worth having. I bought all the DLC like two months before the first standard rotation and didnt really regret it. It comes down to how much you want to spend/play the game.
There’s a version of that deck that cuts the historians and runs patches and keleseth but it’s a little pricier dust wise.
Decided to try constructed for the first time in like 2 years since I watched a cubelock game and it seemed fun.
Haven't read any actual guides and just copied the first decklist I found so probably will not be doing very well with it as it doesn't seem too straightforward. Side note, damn did not realize how much decks cost -- already have skull, guldan, and taldarim and still used like 5k dust to finish it.
Adventures were so much better. I have 10 legendaries from this set of the 22, but I spent 50 bucks plus a ton of gold on packs and dust. They definitely made the game a lot more expensive with their changes. I guess they realize it’s dying.
Been playing quite a bit of tempo rogue and can’t figure out if Edwin doesn’t quite fit the deck or if I just play badly around that card. It seems like it’s mostly a 6/6 when I play it and sometimes a 4/4. Rarely a 8/8. Is that fine or should I be using more of the activator cards on Edwin rather than saving them for Vilespine, Bonemare, or Elven (the combo draw 2 minions card).
Flip, I use Edwin the same way in tempo. He isn’t going to huge like he will be if you’re playing miracle because most times you run two different spells. You just need him as a 6/6 vs Druid or zoo. He isn’t that valuable in tempo rogue. Once in a while he can blow up but I don’t think that’s what he’s intended to do.
most of the time he's gonna be a tempo 4/4. I don't think you should waste activators just for the sake of it, but if it works out during a turn you can make a 6/6 and backstab something you should probably do it.
Priests are definitely aids in constructed. I love beating the **** out of Raza's but it's really tough. Some of the dragon priests are also really strong. I have all the cards for all the top decks but I really just play Tempo Rogue and Aggro Pally competitively--I typically hit rank 9 by the end while doing all the dailies. I think I'd shoot myself in the face if I had to play Raza Priest or go against it 50% of the time. I'd rather play arena, brawls or wild.
