Re: Hearthstone?! (Blizzard online card game)

Cubing doomguard is so powerful that would not surprise me at all that by the end of this expansion every single deck will be running one or two silences

Rin is a far better target for replacement. Or hell, even twisting nether.
Yeah I've never ran Rin in this list. Get it/another Voidlord off of Stonehill often enough.

Current list that I'm running. Still have one Spellstone in there, as it can be clutch in certain matchups. I really want to fit Tar Creepers in though, so still some tweaking to be done.

Think beetle can be cut and I wouldn't run stonehills and tar creepers at the same time. I've also ditched siphon soul. What's one dark pact like? I feel like I'd miss the second one a ton. I haven't tried nzoth yet, apart from the mirror I cant think of any matchups I'd really want it.

Re: Hearthstone?! (Blizzard online card game)

Been wanting to make a post on this list for a bit, but wanted to hit legend first.

Miracle is in a great place right now, one of the best meta decks right now I think. It only really gets crushed by mage. Favored matchups vs all varieties of priest & control warlock which are the most popular meta decks ATM.

Last 2 cards in the list are the shadow strike and the shiv. Ran eater of secrets for a minute when mage was hot, also second minstrel, second shadowstep, second slayer.

Sap is one of the best cards in the game right now, so many amazing targets - creeper, voidlord, obsidian statue. Pretty funny since this was cut from almost all rogue lists last year during shaman stone.

I really like shadowstep in this list as a one of. Every minion that rogue runs right now is an good shadowstep target, outside of auctioneer. Adds so much burst too. Doing 16+ from hand is a frequent occurrence.

Re: Hearthstone?! (Blizzard online card game)

I'm going to give Miracle a shot.

I was going to use that deck until I realized I had no Striders or Slayers. I crafted one Slayer and put a Xaril and a second Shadowstep in for the Striders. We'll see how that goes.

This expansion has a lot of high-value epics, seems like more than previous expansions did. I went with the Slayer instead of Strider since it seems like the stronger card in a vacuum if I'm going to be playing other Rogue decks.

Re: Hearthstone?! (Blizzard online card game)

First game I played I had Leeroy, Minstrel, Xaril, both Fan of Knives, and both Auctioneers in the last 11 cards of my deck. Spent the whole game doing basically nothing. Which is how Miracle players always say the deck plays. Checks out. Lost badly. Anduin ended at like 32 life, although I did manage to do about 30 damage to him over the course of the game.

Re: Hearthstone?! (Blizzard online card game)

strider is the most important card in the deck - miracle has been in a bad place prior to this expansion - it makes the deck orders of magnitude better

You talked me in to it. Not a terrible thing to pay 1200 dust to try out a new deck that I think could be a lot of fun to play.

Re: Hearthstone?! (Blizzard online card game)

Strider is absurd. I homebrewed a kingsbane list with sprint in place of auctioneer and you just get so much value from the 4/4s. Not to mention it's the first good rogue 4 drop since tomb pillager rotated.

quick note re: the miracle list

i dont think i've ever seen a worse matchup for miracle than vs the current iteration of tempo mage

like i will draw the nuts and still get stomped, which is why i teched in secret eater at one point - if i was being conservative i would say it adds 25-30% winrate to the matchup - still unfavored, but winnable

Re: Hearthstone?! (Blizzard online card game)

I went from rank 25 to 9 with like two or three losses in the run. Used a budget secret mage deck. I haven't played in over a year... Not sure if deck is rigged, I ran good, or ranks don't mean as much. Probably all of the above tbh but the game is way more fun now

I ended up playing the exact list you posted and went on a 6-3 run with it. I only ran in to tempo Mage once, and it was a massacre as you stated.

I have always known that Patches is "good" or close to problem-level, but after playing this deck I couldn't believe how strong a turn 1 Swashburglar was. Good card draw that can give you things to do as you build toward the midgame, and great board presence. I hadn't played much with Patches but being on this side of things I just appreciate the board presence more than the 1 damage.

I'd like to put Xaril in the deck. I'm inexperienced with Miracle but I like that he's a proactive body you can throw down, and he generates a couple of cheap spells. Do you think there's room for him in this list?

Re: Hearthstone?! (Blizzard online card game)

Played the deck and in my first game drew patches against a tempo mage who went wyrm -> coin -> lack -> runes

deck confirmed bad

edit : 3 mages in a row after not playing any beforehand, matchmaking totally not rigged

for sure you can fit him in - i would probably drop the minstrel for him

thalnos is another card that wasnt in my build, but i wasnt seeing much tempo rogue at the time - the more aggro lists you see, thalnos should be in the deck and take out the xaril/minstrel

if you see a lot of priest, its the other way around

Re: Hearthstone?! (Blizzard online card game)

Get your 3 packs as well this week for playing the brawl although its packs from last expansion. I did get a legendary each including a golden one from my 2 accounts....run goot for once.

Current Meta:

I'm not sure where the stats are coming from or maybe Cubelock is really hard to navigate but it really seems like the best deck in this meta--maybe just people suck with it. I'm still playing a Control Boar's Rogue deck and it cuts through the ****ty ranks like butter. Looks like priest is still ultra strong and annoying and has 2 good archetypes. VS is saying aggro/murloc pally are two of the top decks--I just don't see it but maybe it's true. Secret mage as mentioned earlier is pretty good but f'ing annoying and boring as **** to play

VS says:

1. Aggro Pally
2. Murloc Pally
3. Big Priest
4. Dragon Priest
5. Tempo Rogue
6. Zoo
7. Secret mage
8. MR Hunter--what's the build?

Things to note: Shaman/Warrior are basically dead. Druid has taken a big step back since it gets run over by Tempo Rogue and Cubelock. My guess is Cubelock is still being perfected but it seems extremely powerful to me. Pally is super successful but still only the 5th most played class.
