Got Twig of the World Tree as my free weapon and opened Kingsbane and Zola in 38 packs. Also beat Dungeon Run on my first try so successful evening overall I'd say.

I got plowed in dungeon run as rogue and mage. That evolve guy is a *****.

30 packs opened, got the rogue, paladin and shaman weapons alongside the hunter legendary.

Decent hit rate even if I'm not overwhelmed by any of those.

Just pulled off a 30 mana turn with twig of world and khun in big druid. Pretty insane v dragon priest who had drake and Dragon OP.

Also been trying out a demonlock deck and 8-2 with it so far. The weapon pull a demon is insane and nobody is running ooze just yet. The 1 mana librarian thing is really good especially with the spell that gets buffed. Very easy to do with that deck.

Start of expac always fun times.

ok, so either i built it very wrong, or big warrior is crap. I got rotface, grom, alex, ysera, dragonlord and the rest is removal/armor. Without any resurrect mechanic or high value card like medivh you simply run out of stuff to play and autolose to any control deck. Ragnaros would make the deck significantly better, but still pretty weak imo.

Don't equip that 0/3 "draw 3 cards" weapon unless your goal is to lose in fatigue. In that case definitely equip it.

I'm doing really well with a midrange hunter with the spellstone. My list isn't optimised by any stretch but it seems really powerful.

The spellstone is the best card in the deck it just crushes*.




*as long as you aren't facing off against duskbreaker and hellfire.

Dungeon runs might just be the best solo adventure they have made.

Naxx was better than the dungeon run imo. Dungeon is pretty much a breeze until 8th boss and the two I have faced were cheese more so than hard.

Depends who you get first run I had a spell heavy mage deck and ran into that one that gets a tunnel trogg for each spell you cast at about 5 no way i could of won.

The dungeon run I finished as Druid the final boss took 66 points of fatigue damage

This adventure is super hard. Have only had success with warlock/shaman zoo style decks.

I got a bunch of giants with warlock and then the “minions cost 5 mana” perk and it was gg.

Call it stupidity on my part, but when the cards for this new expansion were first getting released, I just assumed that at the end of each turn after you drew cards one tick of durability was removed from the weapon, in which case this would have effectively been "At the end of the next 3 turns draw 3 cards". Which to me would have been great.

As it stands, the fact that the durability for these weapon's isn't impacted by their ability makes the mage weapon much worse than if it worked the way I assumed it did IMO.

Made a fun casino mage deck with elise, prince malchezaar, and two deck of wonders (16 extra cards). Deck is fun but absolutely goes to fatigue every game.

I was hungover yesterday and basically just played Hearthstone all day.

Beat 6 of the Dungeon Runs. Keep getting stuck on the last boss on Warlock.

(FWIW the secret for half the heros is to play Zoo with Stealth. lol)

I'd like to get the Velen combo in here somehow. Would you guys cut these last 4 cards for Velen/Holy Smite/Mind Blast/ Then either one more card draw (acolyte, novice, loot horder?) or Binding Heal?

yea they did an amazing job with it. I haven't even played ladder yet. Just trying to beat dungeon run with all the heroes, lol.

the warrior starting deck is legitimately terrible. i think that's going to be the hardest one.

i want to get good at arena (my understanding is that this variant is not pay to win and there is a set number of cards) and i am starting completely fresh with zero knowledge of the game. what resources should i use to get started?

I'd watch a bunch of arena streams, hafu, shadybunny, grinninggoat, there are tons more even the less popular guys who stream but make the top arena players list every month would be good.
