Kripp is right about DKs in arena. Theyre completely OP and need to be removed entirely from the draft pool. Its not fun (or interactive) being miles ahead of a warlock at 3-2, and having him drop Guldan and immediately being behind 1 turn later.

Yea arena is in a bad state right now. Add in bonemares being ****ing commons, and the new dragons, and it's a complete cluster****.

I dont know how they messed up so badly after ungoro. But, the standard meta is slowly growing on me. Right now MrYagut is having a sick top 50 legend run with miracle rogue running ****ing double vanish. You never know how the meta could evolve, especially post-nerf druid (if that doesnt happen 3 months from now)

I'm just so conflicted on the hydra vs leeroy thing. Freebooter is a great top deck 99% of the time especially in the mid-late game when you're struggling to close out a game, he can become a surprise 4/6 out of nowhere that's tough to deal with. I am liking him better than naga corsair. Nothing on earth can convince me to cut a spellbreaker.

People think hydras > leeroy right now but my win % with leeroy drawn/played is the highest of any card in the deck but I may have just been running insanely hot on friday.

Corsair always felt pretty bad in PW imo. Personally I don't like hydra either.

Another crazy idea i have is cutting the freebooter and going 1 mortal strike AND leeroy but that's probably too innovative for a pleb like me

Mortal strike always felt right to me in PW even with 2 Spellbreakers, it's just such a great closing card, and fewer people play around it now.

I guess it kind of depends on how you are losing games. The reason people cut it was to have more minion presence. Personally I think if Frothing/Phantom are giving you big bodies that can win games after your early onslaught of pirates are killed off, you won't need Hydras.

you could also put a Bonemare in PW.

I'm doing the old deck experiment where every time i draw leeroy i ask myself if i'd rather have hydra, and the answer is usually yes.

I lose games when I lose boards to aggro druid so yea taking a minion out's probably bad and i may just put the corsair back in

I'm 36-12 with this deck in wild.

So much i can change and swap around. Anything but aggro just loses to this. Only faced one jade druid though (typically the game after I took Neurotic Geist out of the deck)

Maly rogue was fun and maybe even good, but I've moved on to mill rogue. Not good, but def fun

Shouldn't it be a given that your win % is high when you draw and play your finisher? Win % when drawn seems more relevant.

yea there's a difference but it's not really a finisher all the time, sometimes it's removal or pushing damage on a turn where you have nothing else to do

i've sort of given up on the deck. I reverse climbed from the 100's to 1100 while i was drinking last night. People are inexplicably running crab packages now when there's like 0 pirate warriors where I'm at in ladder. Well, not 0, but it's less than 10% for sure. Going to climb back up with jade druid, might as well learn the deck while it's still around. From what I'm seeing most jades make atrocious misplays almost every single game so I can just farm the mirror. Aggro druid is a different beast though, **** that deck. I hate playing it now and I hate playing against it.

I sort of got in an argument with a guy on my stream last night about the state of druid, he thought it was fine because murloc pally has an okay-ish matchup with it. Well, it doesn't. The matchup mostly revolves around the murloc pally getting good draws and snowballing the game and the druid can't draw spreading plague or UI. which ends up being about 50/50. But, most druid decks on HSreplay at legend have a 55-60% winrate against murloc paladin. Except the medivh version has a 50.1% winrate.

the worst thing is that I don't see what they can do short of drastic, huge changes. The problem isn't 1 card it's like 5 cards. The oldest culprit, arguably, is innervate. The next oldest obviously, is jade idol. This card effectively shoves control decks out of the meta and makes room for stuff like aggro druid to just wreck face. Now, it was fine before because miracle could just make jades cry, or aggro decks could rush them down. Not so anymore when they can basically heal for 20+ damage with a 5 mana card. They have cut some of the best healing cards in the game, earthen scales and feral rage, from their decks entirely. This says everything. This gives them room for conditional removal like black knight and BGH and they're even running 2x MC techs FFS. It's absurd.

UI is probably fine without all the ramp and survival tools druid has. I don't have an issue with that card at all. It's really spreading plague and malfurion DK. the DK could probably cost 8 or 9 mana. Spreading plague should be at least 7 mana. Innervate should maybe rotate.

They will never ever do all of this. The state of this game is truly sickening me right now but I'm not going to give up

To finish my essay before that post gets too long on the edit, I think this stuff was all printed in an overreaction to pirate warrior. The fact that they printed Skulking Geist tells me they were aware the jade deck could get out of control, but wrongly assumed a geist could be a viable tech against it.

They need to stop listening to people whining and letting that shape the decisions they make on cards to print. They need to take input from the very good players... not just before the fact, but AFTER. Look at the data, get the opinion of pros, and make changes quickly. If they did this they would save themselves so much headache.

I'm willing to bet that they will come out with some sort of "It's not that bad guys, our numbers actually show that this isn't as bad as undertaker so it's actually fine" within the next two weeks.

it makes me sick and angry that I have to play a deck I hate just so i don't dumpster rank. Rank doesn't matter it's just a personal thing I want to achieve. So i'm not really left with a choice here. in every single meta I've played in, going on nearly 2 years now, I've always been able to find a niche deck or a tier 2 deck to succeed with that I enjoy playing. Nothing like that exists now. There are 3, maybe 4 viable decks to play at the moment and 3 of them are druid.

So I'm playing this Big EZ Priest deck. I'm up against this Mage and I drop a 5/5 Lich King on turn 6. I rez the Lich King on turn 7. I play my real Lich King on turn 8.

Now WTF am I supposed to do with these 3 copies of Army of the Dead?

I felt like I was losing the game and played 1 Army of the Dead just for lol's. It pulled Ysera which he wasn't able to deal with for several turns. He ended up conceding heading in to fatigue while I had 2 Army of the Dead, 2 Dream, 2 Nightmare in hand, and pretty much nothing to do except Dream back Ysera to my hand after he whittled it down to 4 health.

seems like a classic case of: deck does job.

Play concede mage imo.

I opened DK Garrosh and am really enjoying trying to make him work. I got to rank 5 playing a variety of tempo or control decks. Started at rank 2 though.
