there's a strong chance I finally do give up the ghost and uninstall this ****er if shaman is not completely unplayable come this xpac. I'm just so ****ing sick of it. It's the poster child for going too far to improve a ****ty class

I don't understand why every xpac shamen gets great cards. Already one of the strongest classes and you have Hunter and warlock really lacking and even priest is a bit (early game anyway)

Surely the goal is for every class can be payable. I really miss being able to play warlock to be honest.

Frost Clone is a card I've been expecting ever since Duplicate came out. Not sure if it has a place top tier decks, but it will be a great arena card.

Fluffy Felbeast seems pretty bad, but who knows. I don't see a place for it outside of Quest decks.

Rattling Rascal is interesting but at the end of the day if you assume the battlecries and deathrattle's cancel each other out, its a 4 mana 2/2, so no thanks.

I thought Shaman was dumpster tier for the first few years of the game, then they overcompensated by giving them so many OP cards until it became Shaman-stone for a time.

Rattling Rascal is probably meant to be played with Treachery. It could be ok in evolve or silence decks too.

I dont think shaman got good cards this expansion, and if people run the anti-jade geist evolve gets hit.

yea that was really good. i wish my brain had absorbed it all more.

that deck in particular (taunt warrior) is really difficult for me to grasp. Playing so much arena and aggro decks, where 90% of games you play hard for tempo/board control, whereas with the taunt warr a lot of plays feel very anti-tempo and strange to me.

was playing on my own last night and losing games I knew I should've won to shaman because I was never sure if I should brawl to play around devolve + bloodlust burst near-lethals or if I should hold on to the brawl for a dopple evolve combo. always seemed to guess the wrong one.

the only control deck i feel pretty confident with is freeze/hybrid freeze mage. I like the hybrid builds better. but, taunt warr is definitely super strong in this meta and a deck I want to become better with.



this is the list we were playing and if i could make one small change i'd probably take out a slam. i know you don't like battle rage but -1 slam +1 battlerage feels ok

This is a hidden cost of Blizzard overbuffing classes. Trogg/golem is gone, but people are still so scarred by it that they want to see shaman completely die, even though it's currently balanced.

Kind of. Token shaman just destroys a lot of decks I enjoy playing though like miracle and secret mage without board wipes.

I really hate token shaman, it seems to have very few weaknesses. And the way you are forced to play around bloodlust makes you make a lot of very in efficient plays which end up screwing you eventually with the evolve turn .

Token shaman is weak to classes with aoe (warrior, priest, mage).

I like slam over battle rage in this aggro meta because it allows you to interact with your opponents board and kill their guys which your taunt minions are too weak to do. Also it acts as an activator for execute which is important when playing mage+rogue to kill their big dudes.

you should be beating token shaman with miracle rouge, try adding si7s if you don't have them. Mulligan hard for early game, don't keep auctioneers or any other high value cards.

as for new cards, druid spell is absurd, I have no idea why would they add something like that. Jade druid will now dominate, so much for playing control in any forseeable future.

I don't even understand how people are running anything less than two si's

I don't think a 10 mana spell is really that useful - I think to run something that expensive you need to incorporate medivh somehow

token shaman is extremely favored versus rogue lol. devolve destroys edwin/questing/sherazin/gadget. you don't have aoe and the can easily deal with your win conditions. you need thalnos+fan, really early miracle turn, or SICK swashburgler/hallucinatations to win generally.

running two SIs is standard. rogue lacks aoe so ofc they struggle versus board flood class...

Yeah that sounds fun. Medivhz big Medivhz druid.

Also, vs has miracle vs token as like 45/55 which is interesting. Thalnos and fan doesn't kill much either. I swear I've never gotten an aoe off swash or hallucinate vs token shaman. I could see it doing okay if you added in a kobold or something to hit 3 damage on fan.

Think of your use cases though. Medivh potion was WAY more value than this because you can tailor the potion to your exact needs - this druid card is so one dimensional.

10 mana, draw 5 cards, gain a minimal amount of health and maybe kill one minion. There's only really specific scenarios where this doesn't either outright kill you (because you didnt do **** to their board) or you already won the game anyway, or your hand is too full to even play this card.

What situation do you think this would be good to have? I don't really see one. You can only play it when you're ahead.

Auctioneer at least gives you a body and a huuuge threat because of its passive effect, and 4-6 mana to play with after innervates. This just draws you cards and basically nothing else.

Don't see any existing deck this fits in where yogg wouldn't be better.

I wouldn't mind a turn where I cast fireball, ice barrier, arcane intellect twice, and summon a crystal runner for 10 mana lol.

The card effects are basically the same as casting two good 5 mana kazakus potions but slightly better cause random demons was bad, the 5 mana potion gave you 2 draws instead 3...freezing was usually bad. A game winning turn as renolock/renomage was brann+kazakus but now you don't even have to combo them and can't get bad potions.

I would 100% run this over yogg in jade druid and I think yogg is like a must include in jade druid right now.

jmakin have you even read the text of the card? it gives you a 5/5 minion. gadget is a 4/4...

just think about what an insane gadget turn would be: it's drawing 5 cards, dealing damage off evis/swipe, gaining 5-10 armor off earthern scales and buffing gadget to a 5/ 5. this would use all your mana, depletes a ton of cards from your deck, and involves not getting screwed by drawing poorly.

OK this card reads: draw 5 cards, deal 5 damage (evis or swipe), gain 5 armor, play a 5/5. it is worth way more than 10 mana. card is simply bonkers. I don't think it's OP though.
