I had tempo Dirty Rat played on me three times since that post, JMakin.

I was playing Plant Rogue. First time was Taunt Warrior and it pulls Auctioneer and I cycle a ton of cards and get a big Edwin on turn 3, I win.

Second game, a Quest Priest plays Rat on 2, gives it divine shield and draws my Vilespine. I sap it and go face with my minions. I have a Velen from Swashburglar, obviously l know he has it and is going to play it again, so I dump my smaller minions (Bloodmage and Lasher), he plays Rat, divine shield again, it pulls Velen and I Evis it for double damage, push 18 to face. He concedes.

Third time another Taunt Warrior. I'm on coin and keep Auctioneer (I think it's worth keeping in mulligan for this alone), I cycle 4 cards, including enough coins to play Sherazin on turn 2. He kills the Auctioneer but I decide to gamble and go for max punishment and double Cold Blood Sherazin, I win on turn 4.

This deck feels so unfair.
Strangely 72% win with coin and only 62% going first. My guess is that going turn 2 3 mana taunt into turn 3 taunt is really good against aggro and going like turn 4 servant or turn 5 fire ele is really strong.
Only matches I feel like a slight dog to are taunt warrior and quest rogue. Taunt warrior isn't thatttt bad it's definitely winnable, mulligan for an aggressive start being able to proc Tol'vir stoneshapper turn 4 is pretty important so I keep this if I get it in opener (plus it's super busted against pirate warrior - pirate warrior we're a favorite). I think I actually went 50% against taunt warrior but I felt like a dog.
Quest rogue feels kind of hopeless only way to win is to curvestone and win on turn 5-6 with bloodlust so I mull for it (playing against miracle rogue is a pretty easy matchup so I don't care if I have BL in that matchup). Luckily once I hit about rank 3 I didn't see many quest rogues.
I originally had Al'Akir but wound up swapping him out for a waterspeaker because he was just too dang slow and found him just sitting in my hand. When I got the chance to play him I was already winning.

I was talking w a guy i know that is a routine high legend player and he doesnt even like dirty rat on curve vs quest rogue

not completing the quest before turn 7/8 for rogue is more devastating than any other build in the game,you do no damage trying to activate the quest,and even if you do its 1 attack minions for the most part.
I think Ive activated the quest on turn 5 maybe 10% to 15% of the games so far,Im doing something wrong.
freeze mage is really great but people seem to tech against it a lot.

I agree, you want to wait for them to bounce something a couple times. If you can then pull that minion and kill it they have to start over on a different minion; or just instaconcede.

But your risk of ruin is so high, a lot of the time they have a hand full of those elementals by turn 4, you wanna pull one of those.. pulling a swashburglar on t2 isnt helping you that much

I've always been a warlock, druid and warrior player; this is the expansion where I play paladin, rogue and priest.

I've played so little priest that I don't even understand all the interactions with a lot of their cards. Apparently that's true for a lot of people. I saw a stream of GG where the caster said that, with Auchenal on board, the greater healing potion could be used as a 12-damage fireball to face.

Whoops.

I agree with Firebat's assessment that Swashburglar is bad for Quest Rogue. You don't want to draw Patches out before the quest; the deck is not about putting out 2 1/1s and snowballing damage off that like PW. After the quest, Deckhand and Bilefin are the nuts.

It doesn't make sense to me that Freeze Mage went from meme deck to tier 1 with rotation. It lost Ice Lance and Emperor!

I played a little today and even the bad aggro matchups felt pretty competitive.

Pulling out patches out from the deck when you have the quest just feel awesome. But drawing patches when you looking for combo ice feels so bad. When I play awash early I honestly was seeing it like it was tinning my deck for better draw and saving me part of some damage since they usually focus on it. I was also seeing swash as a lot of value. I won a couple game without completing the quest thx to those random cards. But thinking of it, i often get useless cards.

I'd say I win 1/5 of my game without completing the quest. Early Edwin can be nasty. Sometime you also draw Edwin from mimic pod and have the hand to yolo it. Sometimes swash give you the win with his random cards... but nevertheless, I'm doing something wrong. I played about 85 games and I'm stuck between rank 10 and 7.

I'm not playing any elemental in my decklist. I might try -2 swash +2 one drop elemental. The 2/3 elemental with dathrattle also part of the package I presume. I'll have to think if I add one or two and what I cut for them. Or i could always net deck.

Lol there's no excuse for not understanding auchenai interactions, that cards been around for years

Nobody is confused about what Auchenai does, they're confused about what Greater Healing Potion does.

You say that but I accidentally killed my Auchenai with my hero power when not paying attention today lol.

just beat a quest rogue as priest on turn 4 with a 14/14 on board. i have a new favorite deck.

I run 2 sap in my quest rogue because there was too many combo priest on my ladder

seems like a bad plan to make the deck consistent. what ranks?

And I totally nuked my board on a Lyra turn after I drew embrace the shadows and CoH form her. I still won though.

I run none of them and Ive seen the deck from several streams that dont run any of these either.

Yeah I'd like to see that list as well. Seems like if you wanna run those cards and play rogue you should just play miracle rogue. But I've never seen it so idk really

quest mage is utter trash, I'm seriously considering dusting the damn quest card

it's very difficult to play and has an awful win rate.

I'm running Doomsayer in quest rogue right now and I think it works, but I'm playing < 5 games a day of quest rogue.
