Ok, either I'm misunderstanding you guys, or you guys are confused.

First off, why would you need to run 26 1 drops in order to complete a "Play seven 1 drop minions" quest? Do you need to run 26 deathrattle minions in the Priest quest?

It's not play 15 1 drop minions. It's play seven 1 drop minions. So I'm not sure where this discussion of 15 1 drops is coming from.

Also worth noting that the new Small Raptor 1 drop generates another 1 drop on deathrattle, so that is 2 1 drop minions in one card.

If you only have 7 in your deck, if the last card is a 1-drop you're unlikely to complete the quest. So to complete the quest in any reasonable number of turns you need far more than 7 in the deck.

The mage quest is so easy to complete and has so many good possible synergies with Antonidas, Babbling Book, Tome, Mukla, Burgly Bully; I think control mage Time Warp is going to be a real thing.

Obviously, but you certainly don't need to play a deck that has 26 1 drops in it (as was asserted earlier) to be able to complete the quest consistently early, I'm assuming you would agree with that.

Also, assuming the talk about 15 1 drops simply means you'll be playing a Hunter Quest deck that contains 15 1 drops, it still isn't relevant what the 15th best 1 drop is, since a hunter quest deck obv won't be a Reno deck, so you'll be playing 2x the top 7 non-Patches 1 drops plus Patches.

Going all in lets you cast the payoff on turn 5 or 6

If you have 15 one drops, you're mostly casting it on turn 8, 9 or 10.

Both decks are terrible before you complete the quest.

Gotcha.

But I think there are varying levels of "terrible" that these Hunter Quest decks will be. I predict there will be some refined Hunter Quest deck that will be high ladder competitive.

The Hunter Dream is to play Hemet and then complete the quest. Somehow I don't see that being consistent, at all.

Pirate Warrior ran Zoo out of existence, and this hunter deck sounds like a bad version of zoo.

Pass turn 1, play a bunch of 1 drops...how does that outrace PW?

Granted, if this new meta destroys PW, then Hunter becomes the new cancer deck.

Edit: Zoo has better than average 1-drops, too.

oh another thing; i cant imagine stampede not being ultra good with the hunter quest.

Time warp seems pretty broken, no? The quest shouldn't be too difficult to achieve, and then timewarp+double arcane giant (will be max 3 mana by this point), pass, Alexstraza, GG?

Anyone know if the Coin counts towards this quest completion?

one big difference with timewarp (and the ****ty rogue one, rip rogue) is that you actually have to do two actions to trigger it.

You cant just "make" or draw those cards and the quest's done, you have to play/cast them after producing them

But mage should have enough of cycle+stall to be able to get it done and make a sick combo

Actually I think it was all the AoEs and Dragon Priest in Gadgetzan that killed Zoo. Spirit Claws/Maelstrom were like invented to beat Zoo, but Discardlock was pretty strong in the Shamanstone era.

Played my last arena before JUG and got pissed so retired at 0-2. First time ever retiring. Opened a golden white eyes, might be good in the new elemental shaman meta, if not still a pretty sick last msg pack.

I heard somewhere random might have been reddit. That death rattle priest was the strongest deck or something during testing.
Who knows what will be good and not, a lot of the streamer get it badly wrong.
I recall kripp saying STB was bad might make rogue and that's about it and trump rating all the goons cards really highly. It so hard to tell until the meta gets going.
