I'm at 13k gold now, mainly just from quests. Probably should put in more effort to get daily win gold but I'll still preorder the bundle and probably drop most if not all of my gold on packs.

i think people underestimate cards that need to be dealt with immediately and force your opponent to use removal

i stopped playing a lot when secret paladin was a thing and started just goofing around with yogg decks from time to time. Ive started playing more recently though and while standard sucks thanks to shaman, I've been having a lot of fun playing wild. Lots of powerful decks, a good variety (Ive played 20 games in the last day or two and have seen every class), and thats fun to me.

Im now 52 wins from my first gold hero.

If your opponent stealths a auctioneer, just play this and stealth it. They will draw through their deck and kill you but look at the big minion you have! Now thats value.

I think that some of the mechanics they're working in to the meta, like the Priest Legendary, are enough to change things up so that the random 2 and 3 drops that they add don't need to be spectacular for the deck to still be fun.

Player is playing tempo/secret mage in wild. Opponent is on the play as warlock. They go turn 1 3/2 imp. Players hand on their turn is mana wyrm, arcane missiles, mad scientist, coin, 2 mana 2/3 if you have a secret deal 3.

Whats the turn 1 play?

If the missles don't hit the imp you're 3:1ing yourself. If they do you have a 3/3 wyrm to no board vs zoo going to turn 2 and the ability to play scientist next turn.

opponent went wyrm, coin, missiles to me and my initial reaction after they played the scientist next turn was "that seems bad" then thought about how itd be hard to come back if their missiles went well (since my 2 drops are all 2 power and get eaten by the 3/3 wyrm) and began wondering if it was maybe correct.

Opponents line isn't bad, if they didnt have the scientist. Gotta play aggressively and take chances as a tempo mage vs zoo. With the scientist tho, it's a much worse play.

I think his line is bad, you can ping the flame imp, take some face damage and get a good tempo play later where you're way more likely to kill it.

Also dark bombs a thing. Idk, arcane missile spew really irritates the **** out of me. You dont need to make huge potentially game losing gambles on t1. Especially when the absolute upside is a 3/3 that dies in a turn or two to darkbomb or implosion anyway

See, it's spots like that which make me realize I'm pretty bad. Hearthstone does a good job of making it hard to realize that you suck thanks to easy scapegoats like RNG effects and stuff, but I'm sitting here realizing I have no idea what the correct play in that spot is even still (assuming no scientist).
