I'm excited for the next wings. Seems like Beast Druid will get owned by Cloaked Huntress tarp decks. More interested if control mage will work, I think it will. No idea how to build it though.

I like the cloaked huntress deck a bit more than the curve deck, although only small samples of each. Just had a mirror and got cloak out I managed to draw both snipe traps, snake trap, and freezing trap. I snapped his Huntress, Barnes, and froze his Highmane all without spending a mana. He also proc'd my snakes on Turn 2. All skill of course.

I just lost 5/5 with priest. Not doing well anymore, i used to be good enough to get to rank 5 but it seems ive regressed to a rank 15 player

I've seen two unique decks in the last couple of days.

Was watching Dog play a druid that revolved around Yogg and the 10 mana 10/10 guy who puts out a minion at the end of your turn.

And saw Reynad play a warrior deck that was interesting based around the new cards.

My strat was ban aggro: so I banned zoo. Loaded up on greed to defeat warrior.

Lineup was:

-Mid range hunter w/ tigers, highmanes, COW + 2x deadly shots.
-Zoo with my own homebrew in there (2x silverware golems) - Didn't end up playing this deck too much, lots of bans.
-Aggro Shaman: standard build.
-Greedy nzoth warrior: designed to F up the warrior mirror w/ gorehowl, barnes, sylv, rag, ysera.

Kirby asked if there were any experimental decks..... Not really, other than a reno value build. My opponents pretty much played brokeback (Warrior, Druid, Shaman, Warlock).

because I finished in the winners bracket, my opponent had to beat me twice to win it all. The first match I lost 2-3, ended up in a aggro shaman mirror, but he had 2x maelstorms + lightning storm that was designed to F up the mirror. So in the second game I allowed his zoo to come in, banned Aggro Shaman. That series I ended up winning 3-2, with the finale being my hunter destroying his dragon warrior, as per the plan.

Yea, this is my Barnes Hunter list that I took from rank 4 to 2 today. Still debating King's Elekk vs Argent Squire, but probably Elekk if I'm not running Abusive. Sylvanas isn't great either, but can't be that bad.

I'd personally take out toads for an extra elekk and a squire. Hunter doesn't have card draw basically and elekk is massively important imo, especially when you go top heavy with Sylv.

I went 30-12 on ladder yesterday with Midrange Hunter. It's so miserable to play. When you win you're just playing junk on curve, when you lose you're hero powering a bunch early and not playing a game. Every once in a while you get a fun late turn where you have to think about what lethal threats to play around I guess.



I like the Tiger as the last big drop. I messed around with Princess Huhuran and Sylvanas. Huhuran performed really bad, total win more card. Syl's problem is she costs 6. Tiger has the highest downside of any of these cards and if you did some things in the early turns and have a bomb to play after turn 5, then having an okay turn 5 is easily enough to win the game.

I think the Squires give you some real game against the decks trying to go under you. With two Squires and two Kindly Grandmothers the Abusive is too good to pass up I think. With all the one drops King's Elekk is unplayable, and I really like that card.

I like the Horserider. I wasn't having any trouble procing Houndmasters so if you don't care about beasts then Horserider is the best three drop for the deck.

The Unleash, second Deadly Shot and second Infested Wolf are the most replaceable cards I think. Second Horserider, Abusive and Tiger are the cards I'd most want to add.

Have you kept track of how many jousts you win with elekk? Seems like you're not winning that many with only three 6-mana minions in the deck

Ya i have played hunter out of necessity and it just feels like i could write a code to pilot the deck and no one would be wiser.

I have posted my own list and after plugging away with it i like it most but obv everyone has a slightly different version. I think elekk over kindly, toad, or dire wolf or juggler or whatever is prob all wrong due to (my own deck, which doesnt even have abusives) like 10 drops that never win jousts and a fair number of spells.

Youre never looking for card advantage. The games you lose you either miss early turns which cause you to not do early damage, or you didnt do quite enough before they find reno. You win everything else. Elekk doesnt help much in either department.

Feel strongly elekk is a very niche yogg esque card

i think aggro paladin is a decent 2-drop away from being really good

decent 2 drop into steward into moroes or other shenanigans would make it quite competitive

i mean if you draw with elekk thats one card less to stop from you drawing cotw...

The catch-22 with Elekk is that 3/2 sometimes draw a card is only doing work against the decks that wreck you in jousts. You can make him really strong in a vacuum by going big but you already beat all the decks that going big helps you against and you already lose to all the decks that going big hurts against.

I think huge toads, with a random early damage, do far more work with the same body. Dunno how else to put it

Only time id play elekk is if im either looking to overload the 2 spot for minions (which ironicallly lowers the value of said elekk) or i think the 3/2 is > 2/2s that do stuff, ie jugglers, dire wolf, or even doomsayer

Game needs more competitive 2 drops.

Surely Princess Huhuran is better than stranglethorn tiger in a deck with 10 deathrattles
