Just saw on a D3 stream that more beta keys just went out.

It was on some twitter feed so I can't confirm other than to say it was 17mins ago.

Edit: checked my email and saw a new email. Just a new humble bundle. Such a troll.

I guess it's some sort of marketing scheme that keeps it as a closed beta. I might be wrong but I think Dota2 was setup the same way for a while.

Maybe they'll do something like have a $40 edition of the game you can preorder for a beta code like HoTS.

They are probably just using this to stress test minimal infrastructure, they have access to massive instances and if they didn't want to crash they could easily turn up the dial.

The game is being run off the PTR server.

Open beta for a blizzard game is the size of a normal release for most other games. They have a lot more to scale than other companies.

Kept all my cards until im at 4 mana (with coin), play non-card totems until then.

At 4 mana I play Mountain giant. At 5 mana I give him windfury and do 16 dmg

the guy has no choice since he has no assassinate apparently, suicides his 3 minions into the giant +weapon attack.

He has 6 hp, got my windfury giving minion+spell power totem... put flametongue totem between them. Gg

No....the GM from the guild I used to raid with has a cousin who works at Blizz. He actually got the code but didn't want it and asked if i did...

From what the cousin told me the gen pop was very limited on release, and the blizz employees more so. He was suppose to get 10 keys but only got 3

I always say this, but I think it merits repeating, and this is in no way directed at anyone specific.

The anticipation of trying to get into the beta is frustrating, but eventually when the game releases or goes into open beta, nobody will remember what it felt like to have to wait in agony.

Trying to jump through hoops to get a beta key now while its in closed beta is more of a waste of time than anything, except if you have very easy connections. Getting in now and playing makes you feel like you've got something on everyone else, but when the game releases and everything is wiped, it'll be more like, "eh, it was no big deal."

Again, that is not directed at anyone and I'm sure it could just be my opinion. I anticipate a beta key just like everyone else, and have been checking my email regularly, but I refuse to go through all the fan sites or trying to win through stupid twitch streamer giveaways, which are the biggest scam of all time.* I don't know why Blizzard keeps failing when it comes to stuff like this.

Anyway, I want to get into the beta just so I can get that Mekkatorque (?) card.

I got into the Diablo 3 beta pretty late so I'm hoping I can get in relatively soon(er) and play a little bit.

I disagree. If you're planning to play at any kind of a competitive level (go infinite) the head start you get from playing a beta in terms of game mechanics, card knowledge, and economic potential (ie; what to buy/sell in the early days when any auction house is highly volatile and/or deflated/inflated) can be pretty big. You essentially get to overcome your learning curve very efficiently and for free before the game launches.

No auction house or card trading in Hearthstone.
