but if you can maintain a board, PW:T + divine spirit + inner fire is a 8 mana 14 damage combo on a 1 health minion. 10 mana, 28 damage. inner fire is alive but right now there are way too many threats to deal with running around on ladder that I can't make a deck that fits all the right cards.

I had a legend-calibur list with inner fire that was good around december/january meta.

Losing Chow, Deathlord and Velen's is brutal, tho. I haven't tried in Standard but I think it would be awful right now.

I've actually been thinking about this since the deck was first made - about what makes Yogg-Saron fit in this deck.

For Yogg to work, you generally need
-Few cards in hand, to avoid overmilling. Preferably dropped in a spot where you want ~6 cards.
-Few minions, every additional minion you have out there is an additional target for a damage spell that could have been cast on his minions or his face.
-A bunch of spells
-A way to kill the opponent often if they get to ~4 health (hero power and damage spells in this case)

Yogg hunter satisfies all these conditions, and I'm not sure there's another deck out there that yogg can really shine in like yogg hunter.

Yogg...
... mage doesn't work because mages will often have 4-6 cards when turn 10 comes around, and in general less spells played if they need to emergency play Yogg on curve
... warrior doesn't work because they don't have enough spells and they like to play high cost cards/minions.
... druid doesn't work because you can't (often) live until turn 10 using a spell centric druid deck

had my first yogg and load win

I had misdirection, explosive trap, and eye for an eye. he had a 5/9 that got buffed by tentacles during the yogg. he had 12 health, I had 5 left from the turn before. He attacks with hero, hits his own minion and takes 2 extra damage from explode trap. then he spams "well played," ropes, takes an eye for an eye for the last 5 damage and dies.

This deck has 24 spells in it before lock and load, you WILL have 10 spells or more cast by the time you hit 10 mana (my personal record is 19) and no card does what he does or anything close. Rag, sylv, cairne, d-wing are all much worse, Iv'e tried. none of these cards are as good as yogg is in this deck. Not even close.

(funnily enough, the last win on the road to legend was vs a maly rogue who had 15 hp. Lava burst, fist of jaraxxus, holy fire into swipe GG)

Saw that guide on reddit too

Only runs 2 traps, both freezings. Has Gladiators longbow, two powershots, and emperor t.

I'll have to check out those options later tonight, powershot for some extra aoe is probably a good thing even though you can't finish face with it

The meta feels like the fastest meta ever right now (post undertaker nerf). Outside of healdin and control warrior, every single deck is just racing because there are no taunts and no healing. True midrange is just non existent, it's all aggro or tempo.

mentioned this a few pages ago but that's always been true at rank 5, where people tryhard aggro for faster games/more games/faster ranks
