After the underwhelming tgt set and the meh loe adventure and given the fact sets phase out now I think the perfect conditions for a urzas block like set are met. Let's see but I think the next set will be bonkers

Loe is not meh. More cards have entered the meta from loe than Tgt or BRM.

Re: changes. Meh. Won't the standard meta be extremely narrow? I predict a massive uptick in Reno decks as everyone figures out that Miracle Rogue is the best deck again since (golden) Loatheb is dying an unjust, toosoon death.

If the next expansion is as good as LOE, but on an expansion level, then I'm super excited. Hopefully cards from TGT, like Rhonin, start becoming good. I suspect they will given Dr. Boom is phasing out, and what Brode hinted at in a podcast at the end of last year. He wouldn't be specific but said they had huge plans for the near future that would do just that.

they are not going to change any cards that will become obsolete when the rule changes apply. Druid will most likely get most of the attention.

druids will def get the nerfbat in standard format otherwise they start off clear #1, and to be honest its about damn time the whole boring combo thig is gone.

Of course, the adventure (coming out at the same time right?) should change a lot of the balance. But even if druid is balanced afterwards I hope they nerf the combo.

Paladin losing muster and minibot is an interesting twist, cause it was also good AGAINST aggro.. umm..

Can control paladin exist without chow mini bot muster?

Not necessarily.

Cards from other older sets may be what enables the abusive strategy. In standard mode you won't have access to a lot of sets so you wont necessarily know what interactions the new sets have with old sets. Standard will always be much easier to balance at any given time since the card pool will be smaller, which is largely the point of it.

The more and more sets you have, the more likely you will accidentally introduced some sort of unexpected super broken synergy. Hell it's already happened a few times.

Well that's what seems worst to me... Standard mode is gonna have these new sets with necessary legendaries who ppl who spend a **** ton of money will have, and the people who spend an average amount or no money and don't get the new legendaries won't have the older legendaries they've collected to replace them.

Or just the necessary cards in general. I mean I've spent about $200 and been playing since may and I still lack a lot of cards, specifically legendaries and epics that are needed like antonidas, brawl, grammash, flame cannon, unstable portal, alexstreza, justicar, some of the giants, and more

you can theoretically dust all of your all cards that are being cycled out (albeit at a discount) including the old adventures. i personally won't do it b/c I want to play wild but they are hoping people disenchant and then spent their money on the new cards.
