I don't see how anyone is +EV in arena right now. Seems to be that even the best decks I have drawn have no business against someone who runs hot on turns 1-4.

Guess it depends on what you consider being +EV. To me, it's only 50g per arena since the pack price is fixed and there's nothing else to do with gold besides buy the packs.

However, there are players that are able to consistently do well. IchioBoy (MickinX twitch) does really well consistently. He does get some incredible top decks, but such is his life.

I watched some guy who said he had 70% winrate play. He made a ton of mistakes and questionable plays. If you personally have less than a 70% winrate it probably means you are just making a lot of errors like the guy I was watching.

Top decking is a skill imo.

I just recently broke 5k gold from arena & quests only.

For pace reference the last 42 arena runs I've gone from 3300 -> 5135 which includes about 17 dailies and also the 1k wins (300 gold) quest. (This sample includes all arena runs where I try to play for 9 wins.)

Current winrate is 78.75% (960-259)

Man, just had a Mage deck with 2x Pint-Sized Summoner and 3x Shattered Sun Cleric and discovered how awesome of an opening coin->Pint-Sized can be.

I imagine they will fix the problem and ban the people using it at some point in the near future. It just amazes me that it's been a known problem in a game people are putting money into for weeks and they've done nothing.

Does anyone else have good data wrt the amount of gold you get relative to arena wins?

These are my averages over the last 54 arenas (i know, lol sample size):

0 Wins: 4 - 11 gold
1 Win: 4 - 15 gold
2 Wins: 9 - 24 Gold
3 Wins: 5 - 26 Gold
4 Wins: 6 - 18 Gold
5 Wins: 7 - 62 Gold
6 Wins: 7 - 94 Gold
7 Wins: 5 - 183 Gold
8 Wins: 4 - 223 Gold
9 Wins: 3 - 192 Gold

4 Wins seems like a black hole for gold. it seems like at that level, you always get at least 3 bags of dust, and the only way you get a decent amount of gold is if you bink a big bag.

But yeah, I don't have a big enough sample to have anything to say on the matter. My 4 win returns have been fine except for a no gold run. Other 4 were 45+.

If they have I have not seen the benefit and I've been average 5 arenas a day over the last couple weeks.

Least I've gotten for 8 wins is 210 and most I've gotten is 285 I think.

You really got 300g from a arena? Didn't think that was possible. The highest I've gotten is 285 and I've played alot of arena.

I hope they release a new patch soon. Game is fun but starting to get pretty bored with having no real goal when playing. They need to make some in-game tourney system for constructed so that gets interesting.

I've seen at least one pouch that was 110g, so I don't think that's true, but I think the cap is total gold and not per bag.

Just played a mage who used 4 blizzards and 2 cone of cold oh and a flamestrike for good measure. Freeze effect is so ****ing overpowered.

Just had the funniest throw ever happen against me. Villain has 4 cards left and 10 life. He is 2 turns away from killing me. On my turn I play my last card, doomhammer, and bring him down to 6. I can't kill him before he kills me. His turn he draws his initial card bringing him to 3 cards. He then plays

Are the cards that do X random damage working as designed? I see Avenging Wrath for instance never do more damage to minions than they can take, so it's always clearing them perfectly and the rest to a hero.

Didn't know if that was how it was supposed to work, or not.
