Yes. I've been playing primarily on mobile lately so i don't have stats, but it sure feels like priest accounts for half of my matches.

This game is such a ****ing joke sometimes. Just lost 4 in a row with Secret Pally vs mid rnage druid. Yesterday got absolutely stomped every game as druid vs pally. Drawing wild growth is hard.

Getting wrecked by a Control Priest is maybe the worst way to lose. Just sitting there slowly dying, nothing you can do.

I've been switching between my freeze mage and face shaman deck lately. When I play Shaman I lose to bad matchups that freeze mage would destroy, when I play my freeze mage I lose to face Shamans. Very frustrating and will probably break several monitors this weekend.

It honestly sickens me, what they've done with the Paladin class. Not only did they give them severely broken cards in Muster, Coghammer, Minibot and Challenger, they also gave them every OTHER decent card in the game.

Want to build a fun Murloc deck? Too bad, you have to play Paladin with Anyfin and Murloc Knight.

Want to build a fun Dragon deck? Too bad, Blizz decided to give the most powerful new dragon to Paladins (and it still doesn't work there!)

Want the only silence to be put into the game since it launched? Too bad, because Keeper of Uldaman is a ****ing Paladin card.

There is no reason for those cards to be CLASS cards, let alone all belong to Paladin, the one class that has no need for them. Think about how much more fun the game would be if Murloc Knight and Dragon Consort were neutral. But no, let's throw them into the most broken class in the history of video games.

Well classes do alternate in power level sorta. Every expansion benefits or harms classes, and it certainly has benefited paladins a ton every expansion so far (after nax)

Very true.

Druid has always been good, sometimes the best with MR and now Aggro.
Rogue has been at the top with miracle and oil.
Warrior had Patron, CW always good.
Paladin has now--secret and MR and aggro.
Warlock has HL and Zoo which have always been good.
Mage had MM and FM has always been good in the post Emperor era.
Some people have Aggro Shaman as the top deck, I personally don't think it is but it's good.
Hunter had the face era--MR except now has always been very good b/c of Highmane.
Has priest ever been near the top?

I think Shaman and Priest have always had issues that haven't been entirely fixed. Shaman has the worst class mechanic in the game in overload although it has somewhat been fixed but still lacks good card draw and MR decks--it's hero power also sucks. I think the issue with priest is it is good but the only real deck has been control priest and it's slow, reactive. Maybe priest was OP when MC was cheaper--I didn't play at that time though.

Priest was good when Mind Control was a 8 mana card and Zoo ran Shieldbearer because there weren't a lot of good 1/2 drops.

Shamans core set of cards are just messed up and the class needs a complete overhaul to be balanced. Too much burn, nearly all the midrange minions are ****ty, not enough good ways to use totems, unreliable AOE.

The fact that the class' only relevant deck in 2 expansions came about by introducing one new minion, and it's the ultimate BS face deck, shows how screwed up the class is.

I always thought Crackle was an absolute fail of a card.

It's 3 mana to deal 3 or 4 damage to a minion. Lets be real here, its never more than that. If you try to crackle a minion for 5 or 6 and roll low = 3 mana, do nothing, burn a card. It's lose the game on the spot bad. The fact that Crackle can roll 6 is irrelevant. When people were originally grading cards they said Crackle was 3 mana deal 4.5 damage but really it's 3 mana deal 3.5 damage with a 25% chance to eat a dick and cause you to rage close the client.

But, Crackle is pretty OPOP when you are slinging it into the grill because how high or low you roll isn't so important and Overload doesn't matter if there isn't another turn. So it's basically a ****ty hybrid of mindblast and fireball.

I agree w/ doggz point. what he is saying is its not removal because of the inconsistency. if you have to yolocrackle you're probably ****ed (vs minion). if you're removing a minion it's too expensive since you basically fail if you leave them at 1 or 2 or w/e since you dont have an easy ping.

if you're playing the control game the overload does also matter. so it just doesn't fit there

it's 100% a yoloface card which promotes aggro, and it's decent at that, since the overload is irrelevant for damage/finishing purposes its 2 mana 4.5 damage which is basically mindblast (which, if aggro priest could work, mindblast would be foundational and insane)

Just played the most bizarre rogue deck. T1 coins out Nerubian Egg. I'm like ok, raptor rogue. T2 4/1 pirate stealth dude, odd.... At some point plays an Iron Sensei. Later I Thoughtsteal and get a Mad Scientist. This is like R14... not hyper competitive but wtf

Good post doggz.

It's pretty crazy how the game has been around for years now and lightning storm has never been changed. Well not really crazy, just standard for blizzard. Anyway, outside of total blowouts and matchup vs hard control, literally EVERY game of midrange shaman will come down to a moment when you have to 50/50 storm and if you roll low, you just lose. This is obviously terrible design. And yet here we are. Every so often I try to build a new midrange shaman with whatever new cards, but always give up because of storm. It is just holding the class back. Amongst other things, but this is the primary culprit IMO.

Lightning Storm would be really good at 1 overload, 2 overload is just laughable. At 1 overload it'd be on par, possibly slightly better than, with concentration. As is you skip the next turn. Feral Spirits is probably the only 2 overload card that isn't terrible, and that's only because Tunnel Trogg is a card. I mean, technically, all of the overload 2 cards aren't that bad with Trogg, but only in a very specific deck. You can't overload for 2 in midrange decks.
