I don't really like the meta right now. Only decks I want to play I don't have the cards for. I want to play Elise Warrior but I realized I have literally 0 of the classic Warrior set because I DCed them all when I first started to play rogue and priest. FeelsBadMan

I only have the collection to play Rogue, Mage, Priest, and Pally, and I hate all the decks in these classes right now.

The Sjow Zetalot bo33 is at 3 eastern. I think Zetalot said they will break it into two days if it's not a sweep basically.

Try this deck! I put this together yesterday, and had an absolute blast playing it.

Went back to the Double Tuskarr Well, which was encouraged by a frequent top 100 legend player I respect who goes by FroStee. One way to think about it is 1) Yeah you don't have the guaranteed heal, but you're also 2X as likely to draw it on 5 since you run 2 of them, something that is extremely weak if you run two Healbots in your deck, thus you don't lose tempo because of Tuskarr's Vanilla stats. 2) You run a little more greedy deck with Arch-Thief...a card that seems too slow on paper, but in a build where you have the tools to go late game...he ends up being faster than say, Ysera...

Oh, right, I always forget Gorehowl is a card, and it straight up wins control games. I must admit that I haven't tried not playing any threats. I can see playing for fatigue and never giving them things to entomb actually working, never crossed my mind.

Good call on the Gorehowl forthelulz. I teched one in and absolutely destroyed a Priest. I also threw in Saraad since it has 4 attack, and doesn't die to lightbomb. I got Tinkers Sharpsword Oil for the Gorehowl, lolol. Get rekt son.

I think saraad is a good choice too. It's not nearly as bad as getting something like sylv entombed and can usually get immediate "value".

when you have gorehowl you don't even play sylvannas (unless you get immediate value with it), you just remove the few threats they have while giving them no entomb targets and laugh at priest sitting there with half of their deck being useless since it's all removal while you enter fatique with 40 armor

That isn't what happened at all.

It was really dumb on both sides and to be honest Zeta seemed way more salty.

It started Sjow played a "standard" control warrior list. Zeta play a "standard" priest list. The Warrior list was literally the same **** as like 3 weeks ago. Zeta's had no chow's and 2 thoughtsteals. Sjow commented he didn't think it seemed standard with no Chows. That is all whatever.

Sjow and Zeta talked at dreamhack with Zeta saying Entomb would push the match in Priests favor and sjow disagreed and they decided on a show match. They were gonna do it before Curator, but then Zeta wanted to wait till then.

Sjow thought it was just to see if Entomb pushed it over. Zeta just thought the deal was no Gorehowl and he wouldn't play ooze.

They clearly are not gamblor's cause terms were not clear at all. So Zeta was up like 1-4 or something and Sjow was somewhat salty, but not really bad. He complained about his deck not adding new cards (they did view the decks before hand) and that with Zeta's double Entomb/double TS no chow list Priest was favored.

Then sjow asked to update lists, he did and Zeta didn't He added Elise and Gorehowl (this is when Zeta brought up the Gorehowl thing). Zeta and his chat were beyond salty, and just kept saying sjow wanted to him to change his list so he could win. They played one game which Zeta won regardless when Elise was meh. Zeta said he didn't want to continue anymore. And logged off.


That was it, you can watch both streams. They both come off bad and their chats were so ****ing blinded by favoritism it was silly to watch as an adult, but Zeta was like 2x more salty after the switch.


If they had actual money on it then lol to both of them on setting up terms, but Sjow admitted Zeta won as they first started out, so I assume he will pay up.

Can't think of much worse in life than sitting around playing only priest in hearthstone everyday. Zeta isn't even human imo

More fun than Secret Paladin, by a lot. When I first started playing, I thought Control Warrior was completely degenerate and "who would want to play this ever" etc. Now I see Priest and Control Warrior are very similar in that every move is actually meaningful and the games actually have purpose, certainly when you're in Legend ranks.

The current Aggro Shaman reminds me a lot of Facelock I played about a year ago to get Golden Warlock. Just throw whatever comes into your hand at their face and hope you drew well enough to win. No interaction, no fun. These games get boring after a few thousand and it's just a lot more fun to play insanely epic 50 turn matches going to fatigue where literally every turn matters.

Regardless, whatever happened with Zeta and Sjow today, it's good for the game to have people grind out these matchups 100x and see where the results lie. The execution could have been better, but the concept is good.

I don't know exactly what was going on... is a showmatch supposed to be money on the line between two parties? It seems like their understanding was no money was involved and this was just a side pool from generous donors who wanted to have a little something on the line. Even if the original plan was for each of them to put up $1k and they fundraised it from viewers I don't really see a problem. That is how they get their money in the first place...

Anyways, Tempostorm's meta snapshot reporting that Midrange Druid wins 65% over Secret Paladin is just a straight up lie no? I feel like I'm something like 20% in that matchup as the Druid. If they have ANYTHING on board at turn 6 it's literally game over, you have no way to proc and deal with those secrets.

I'm 18-11 as the Paladin and 12-20 as the Druid in that match up.

I ofc don't play either deck optimally but saying Druid is the favorite in that match up has to be wrong.

Paladin was a natural counter to Druid when paladin sucked. There's no way Druid is favored in that matchup.
