Just drafted this bad boy but I'm drunk so I'm waiting until tomorrow to play it. What are the odds this is my first 12 win deck?

yea thats a good deck. 3x flamestrikes should carry you to 8 wins minimum

Seems like you're going to struggle in the early game with only 4 two drops and one kobold that might need to play into a 2/3. Turn 3 is also awkward with only spider tank and farseer as solid 3 drops. 3 flamestrikes should let you catch up quite often though. It could definitely go 12.

I agree. I think I turned down two Amanis and an Apprentice for two Fireballs and an Acolyte or something like that and never had a chance to regroup. Maybe after this run I'll go through my picks and people can comment? I think that would be a cool way to learn / help people learn.

Fwiw I'm using Heartharena but pretty much only for tracking because I think some of the suggestions are bad, although I deviated more on this deck than any other so far probably.

Got exactly 8 wins. Lost two to paladins where somehow I didn't draw a flamestrike and one to a mage whose turn 3-4-5 was unstable portal - cairne - faceless.... Obscene. Really fun though

Assuming p1, I think class matters. Shaman/Paladin I lean Sea Giant due to the hero powers. Everything else Sky Golem.

I was pretty disappointed to go 2-2 with this deck yesterday. Came back to it today and went 10-0. Definitely ran good and drew well.

Drafted an insane Mage deck went 10-3 losing to a better Mage, a very fast divine sheild Paladin and a Druid with insane draw. I got 350 gold and 10 wins is way better then my average but I still think a better player could have gone 12 with this deck.

Been thinking about arena win rates a bit lately and how it affects some fairly common situations. In particular playing a mad bomber into a 2/1 on the board on turn 2. It "only" has a 70% success rate and to really beat arena 70% win rate is on the low end. Would playing a 2/3 over the bomber make sense? or am I taking crazy pills here?

and 70% success doesn't mean you lose the game when you miss for mad bomber

mad bomber is a great 2 drop obv

Somebody compiled arena statistics a while back to analyze which cards showed up most often in successful arena decks. Mad Bomber was one of the big winners.

Hit 12 wins with Paladin. Paladin is my highest win rate - it's at 67% now. (but climbing) Have 12-won a fair number of times, but I think this was the weakest with which I've done it: (Credit to twentys who spectated nearly the entire run, too!)

Minibot is an MVP pick. I personally think at this point it's the best 2 drop in the game.

I guess for the later games in a run 70% is no where near a real win rate, so for the first 2-3 games if I don't break curve I'll consider not playing the bomber, but prolly still do it.

and yeah, shielded minibot is so broken, auto pick pretty much

insane priest draft. not one game was close. bobbo was watching the final game and I could afford to play around MCT/lightbomb/mind control with 3 minions on board and 5+ in hand. not shown is 1x holy fire, piloted sky golem, temple enforcer and force tank max (ridiculously overpowered in priest).
