If that set didnt rotate demon hunter would have access to more cards in standard than any other class.

I did my annual "create a new account when the sets rotate" thing again. Replacing the classic set with the core set makes a HUGE difference. You used to get a lot of classic packs with a new account but now you get expansion packs. And not only are you getting a useful pack, rather than garbage, but that garbage doesn't exist anymore.

So it's a huge swing in value. Like if you get 5 expansion packs now, it's like a 10 pack swing in terms of value.

Two times ago, I made it through the noob ranks and used the free deck they gave you to get to gold rank I think. Or maybe high platinum? Then I hit a huge deck quality wall and was only played against netdecks and got bored. Then the next time I played this was when they created the rewards track and got bored with that after about 2 days. They have definitely upped the rewards since then. We'll see if I actually want to keep playing this long term or will eventually hit a wall and quit again.

Might take out innervates at some point. They really suck after the celestial alignment (which is a busted card)

jesus i kind of liked the game but the way you guys describe it seems like a lot of work

think i'll just stick to playing a tavern brawl once per month or so where everyone works from same starting point

This list seems way better and it’s quite easy to corrupt the clown if you play ysera after celestial spell. But even if you dont corrupt, 3 8/8’s or 12/12’s for 1 mana aint bad. Celestial is a VERY interesting card.

The clowns give you the late game pressure against decks that stick around for a while. I’ve noticed that after the guardian animal turns you kind of just run out of steam and have nothing to pressure control or even midrange decks with. This deck also cycles practically every single game so the clowns are gonna come out at some point.

This version is the best one. It needs healing in the late stages of the game. I’m always one turn away from winning the game and I die. Have climbed 1000 ranks with it though (still in dumpster)

Cannot decide whether it is worth running 2x celestial alignment.

It's been a lot of fun. Reynad played it, bitched about rag flips and knife juggles and played radio Kappa. It was 2014 all over again.

The amount of burst damage is a blast, but the mode is much less balanced than I remember. Still super fun though.

Zero interest. It’ll be fun for about a week, then the dominant broken decks will ruin it. Without an influx of new cards, the meta will grow stale.

In an absolute shock to nobody paladin is still incredibly broken.

Played around in it for about 40 games. Meta is still aggro is king, so if you like that you'll like this mode. Flare completely destroys ice block and hunter hero power just too strong against warlock.

Also seeing a boatload of weapon classes and secret classes both of which have crabs which will invariably push them to swap classes (likely to classes without crabs that can also beat tickatus, and that usually means aggro)

This is roughly where I'm at with mage, deck feels good, messing around with number of ice barriers. Messed with post version and animated broom version not sure which is best

Seeing Reynad tilt when he got hit by a perfect 3 card combo for lethal was golden. Brings back old school tears which I love.

I should have tried this on day 31, I just tried it today and at low ranks it's god awful. Been playing the new Libram Pally and of course all I get it rogue, mage and warlock (same thing at high rank yesterday). I load up your deck and immediately get some weird aggro priest deck and an aggro shaman. Yeah, not great matchups lol.

Yea aggro is rough, I switched off, but think this will still have a place in the meta

How much gold do you get now with the new reward track? Before, the average gold gain was 55 gold a day right? Quests were usually 50 or 60 gold and you could reroll. What is it now with the reward track?

Should I prioritize one set over the other for buying packs? There are 4 sets in rotation now. I assume that I should spend the 2k gold on the mini-set first.

I’d focus on newer sets first as the older sets you’ll only get a year out of.

That said a lot of meta cards are from sets in the last year. Whatever set that had all the libram paladin stuff was pretty good.

With the classic set gone, the new player experience feels reasonable now.

My problem was I was winning too much in the noob ranks and I guess my MMR got too high and I started playing regular ladder players with netdecks. I got the 12 win in a row achievement unlocked and then shortly after I went down to about a 30% win rate. After losing a ton of games, it feels like my MMR is in a good spot now.

Get the new watchtower cards. They are oppressive.
