It doesnt. I play that deck and while this might cost some games where I'm behind already, if things are pretty even or I'm ahead it wont make a bit of difference. There been plenty of times that I've played bloom, bogspine on 4 and had an extra mana left over as well, so Corsair can be played that way too

On the bright side - my frankensteinish “every win condition warrior” deck only had two really difficult matchups, evolve shaman and rogue that got a big edwin out early. Like my only chance against rogue was hard mulliganing for barov.

I was already at a 60% winrate over 200ish games but that was when I was feasting on soul demonhunters. I’m gonna take er for a spin again, see how she does. I have a feeling it’s gonna do pretty good.

Just a consequence of the game designers not playing this game even on a diamond 5 level. Sometimes I wonder if they play the game at all.

Thinking about this more - I dont see how these nerfs aren’t massive buffs to control warrior. Its only difficult matchup was evolve shaman, which is why it runs 2 brawls. If evolve shamans drop off even a little they can cut the second brawl and play much spicier cards.

I haven't played enough to know the answer to this, but Dread Corsair says it costs (1) less per attack of your weapon. If the weapon has 3 attack, Dread Corsair costs 1. Does it get transformed in to a 2-mana minion after the Boggspine attacks? That would make sense to me.

If they turn in to 5-mana minions, that's just stupid - it's double dipping by taking advantage of both sides of that mana spectrum.

Evolve the minions to +1 of whatever it cost to play them. If they're summoned but not played, let those continue to go crazy, but if it says it costs less, and is played for less, then treat that as the "cost" in the weapon's card text.

It's a nerf that's more of a tweak. If that's not enough, come back and take another pass at changing some of the numbers or text on the card. That's what I would do.

Once the Dread Corsair hits the board it becomes a 4 mana no matter what it cost to play it (I wasn't actually certain of that myself but I just tested it). And thus it does transform to a 5 after the Boggspine attacks.

It's a nerf because the DC can no longer be played on the same turn as a Boggspine played on curve. Whether it's enough of a nerf to make a real difference remains to be seen. I think the real problem is that Cagematch/Hoard Pillager makes it too easy to generate multiple Boggspines in short order.

For the most part I have not cared too much about Hearthstone's inconsistency of card text, but in this case I do think it's important to make a distinction.

If you pay 1 mana to play a card, to me that means it cost 1 mana. Paying 1 mana for a card, and then having it turn in to a 5 mana minion "because it costs 4" is approaching that line of "You don't understand what just happened, so you read the card and you still don't get it. You just have to see it happen and then reverse engineer it in your head in order to figure out how the card works." There's a hidden layer to the game, similar to cards being able to exist in the deckspace, boardspace, graveyardspace, etc. There's a difference between "cost" and "costs", and I think losing to a deck that revolves around exploiting that difference feels bad.

Since the Arena meta sucks balls nowadays, I've been dabbling in ladder a little more than usual. My main focus has been clearing the Darkmoon achievements (which grant you XP). I've been steadily climbing the ladder in the process, especially in Wild. I had a nice win streak with Secret Mage earlier this month, but today I've mostly been playing Pure Even Paladin. Basically nobody plays it, but it works for me so far.

Started playing this. I think I've gone from rank 5 diamond to rank 2 3 stars with 1 loss. Some of the combos are unbelievably broken. Fungal Fortunes is always a good early keep but any tenant combo into Aeroponics into Arbor up is completely broken. Arbor up should not be a card. Just like old school force of nature, you can't leave anything on board and a lot of classes right now don't play a ton of AOE.

How bad is it to discard Goru off of Fungal Fortunes?

I find in many cases it's a win more card you don't need. It's not like overdrawing the new Ysera in some of the spell decks.

Key Combos are getting a board and savage roaring or solar/savage. And combo that gives you a few Tenants is huge so you can draw free cards with Aeroponics. Any decent board plus Arbor Up or Solar/Arbor is tough for most classes to clear. Some early game is tough and obviously not many good board clears (only decent one in buffed Runic with rush).

holy **** this enrage warrior mirror felt like a ****ing chess match and is one of the best games I have ever played. Only 12 turns but we both burned through our entire decks nearly. I got a huge weapon steal + extremely complicated board clear turn that swung the game. I made many gambits this game, especially cloning the korkron's early to start pressuring him and clear out his hand.

oh yea ldo the deck. I'll post it below. This deck takes out the etc combo + rattlegore, and adds nitroboost poison, another korkron, another shield of honor, and reaper's scythe, which I'm not sold on yet but is pretty decent.

This deck could easily have a rattlegore in it. I might put a rattlegore in it. I've been crushing it with this enrage archetype this entire season. The hybrid "every win condition warrior" (which is basically like ETC + enrage + rattlegore) that got popular recently was my invention. I was the one of the first ones running that deck and can prove it.

Really want to add a rattlegore to this list. Corsair cache feels like the cut card. I'm not sure yet. never been a big fan of corsair cache in warrior decks that do not rely on weapons for win cond.
