Really enjoying the new BGs meta, think they nailed all the changes (might be the first time I've said that about a blizzard patch). I was worried they'd overnerf murlocs but they're still a fine tier 3 comp (better than pirates at least plus they're fine in menagerie and last round poison murloc tech is still often a good play) and end game boards are a lot more diverse now.

Really like the new Reno. He's high rolly but also super skill heavy as there are so many different directions you can go with him every game. My new favourite thing to do in the game is hp khadgar and do token triples into branns and mama bears for a couple of turns on tier 4 and can go bran menagerie/murlocs or mama bear beasts from there (and occassionally shuffle again on 5 into a kalecgos or two turn 10). It's really fun and often the best play, and when you highroll you get to farm the lobby with a 50/50 tabby which is great BM. Thought the diversity of his top 6 comps was interesting (The stats are lying a bit here obv as you don't often get kalec before you have to hp to survive but when you get it you win)

Leaving another note: I cannot stand random card generation. I realize it probably makes it super interesting and fun for the casuals but I really dislike the Unstable Portal feeling the game has right now. I'm gonna just stop playing again and stop complaining. I guess I just keep wishing the game was something it's not.

I think the game is probably at a 2 year low of random card generation. Rogue was probably the biggest offender with gala rogue, and that has disappeared from the meta entirely. Most of the top decks don’t generate anything: all Warrior builds, stealth/weapon rogue, Druid, darkglare warlock, shard DH, Libram paladin. None of those decks generate cards, or do so super minimally. Priest and mage though, yeah, they’re jam packed full of card generation.

I think random card generation in the form of, “generate two random 1-cost minions for zero mana” kind of sucks. There’s very little skill or counterplay involved there.

Card generation in the form of discovery, however, I REALLY like. There is such a high skill ceiling on knowing what cards to pick, quickly adapting your gameplan if necessary, or knowing when to gamble on discovering certain cards. Mage has a lot of this.

I think random cards make the game fresher, overall, and I think they’re good for the game in low to moderate doses. Without random cards we’d just be taking the same lines against the same decks over and over and over. Kind of like how old control warrior mirror was - that was boring as ****. Each game played out exactly the same way every single time.

I understand how random cards can frustrating though. I get blindsided all the time by random cards and I don’t use a deck tracker so it makes it even harder to keep track in my head of what cards they have left.

I'm getting brutally wrecked in battlegrounds all of a sudden. Just absolutely curb stomped time and again. Can't even remember the last time I got a top 3 finish, not sure what changed, I was doing quite well immediately after the changes.

Just had 2 games in a row where I didn't win a single round. Second one was with mr bigglesworth and I just survived one guy he gave me a triple, and I faced his ghost, thought maybe I had some luck for one ****ing time. Nope, I lost a 3.2% to die to his ghost.

I'm just getting massacred.

Finally after 2 days have a nice round and lose a 11% to finish 3rd. I am so ****ing sick of this ****.

Deck was advertised as "72% win rate deck". Ended up going 28-15 from rank 5 to hit legend.

First cards to remove:
-Egg most fun card, also put it in to be unique. Couple more good dragons put into this set.
-Ras, just put in for anti-aggro
-Dragoncaster/Deep Freeze/Power of Creation. Too fat to play, but my last version did use dragoncaster.

VIPs:
-Jandice. High-rolls galore. Usually at a minimum 10/8 worth of stats (after you consider your typically lower health 1 is 1 mana) + abilities
-Rolling Fireball. Just wins games against aggro.
-Devolving missiles into rattlegore, rogue's stealth minions, paladin's buffs. So good.

there's definitely benefit to having another bg account. Had a massive downswing but mostly played on EU so didn't really care about my lost mmr. Came back to NA and have reached a new high of 9.7k mmr. Hope I can get that 10k dream soon.

Anyone else noticed that the bug that happens where a battle you see is different than the battle registered on the server happens a lot with Lich King? It showed that i'd knocked him out and he was still alive the next round two games in a row, once in a top two battle. Think I've noticed it once with non LK heroes in a pretty big sample.

If you really want ooze substitute out font of power or mozaki. Font of power is sneaky good even with minions as it rounds out turns you can't normally play something.

This was possibly the most fun I've ever had playing hearthstone, the worst boomer apm, the most high pitched laugh and the most depressing and awful mistake I've ever made all in one 2 minute clip. I fell out of my chair at the end.

As I was watching, I was thinking, "man, he still has 60 seconds left, that's really lucky. Sometimes you get like 40 seconds for a turn, and that would really suck when you have a setup like this."

I didn't realize there was a way to influence your time like that. Is that considered an exploit?

Why didn't you just do this ? Dog's apm/game iq is insane.




Restarting the game takes you straight to the shop instead of back into the battle so you can get like 120 seconds instead of 80. It's technically an exploit I guess but everyone does it and it's the only way to make bran khadgar work which is the most fun/highest skill thing to do in the game. Some streamers have it set up so they can dc/rc with one click but I haven't worked out how they do it.
