Went from Bronze ten to diamond 9 only losing 2 games.

Any suggestions for improvements would be great.

Just went 45-20, 69% win rate to legend with highlander priest, changed 1 or 2 cards from the norm. The 1/3 swap decks card won me exactly 1 of those games, other times it was a dead card or an annoyance at best. I imagine if i actually managed to draw it against combo mage it may have won me a few more.

I am also not sure that card is more than a gimmick.

I had a pretty funny moment against highlander priest. He swapped decks/hands with me and on the next turn I just used his 9 mana board clear to wipe his and my board, knowing he had no other board clear left (he had used soul mirror already). Then I fearlessly slammed down a huge board next turn, he concedes.

I have used same deck. Seems like it is missing something but not sure what. Tried around platinum 5 and I have climbed like 1 rank. Tho I have not played too much yet.

Yeah, I'm not sure what either. It doesnt really need a closer because it has so much burst damage.

If you have 6 mana crystals, and play Forest Warden Omu, and then play Lightning Bloom - you will go back to 6 mana with overload of 2.

Everyone says is Lightning Bloom is OP. I thought that was lame. If it were Demon Hunter, I'd have ended up with 7 mana.

I've been playing highlander priest. I don't even care if I win but I love to drop Illucia and play their combo cards and make them sad. because lolcombo nerds.

Decided to jump onto NA and play some Guardian druid. I must have run pretty pure but also the deck is rediculous. Easy legend before the nerfs come people.

Aggro/face rogue feels pretty decent - I really have wanted this archetype to work for a while.

WTF i just got a win at r5 and 3 stars and it said “you cant lose stars at this rank” and didnt give me a ****ing star!

Guardian Druid is incredibly strong.

I took that list (with Shan'do Wildclaw in place of Speaker Gidra) for a quick 5-1 to get my Druid to 500 wins. I've always enjoyed the class so I'm surprised I don't have more wins with it.

I usually enjoy Druid metas. I enjoy playing them even when they're OP, compared to something like DH that I acknowledge was strong but wouldn't have fun grinding out games.

I know it's not Rogue but Magehunter is the highest tier of aggro support. I'd be surprised if it's not an auto-include for pretty much any DH deck.

My thing with guardian druid is that it feels very beatable with a lot of different kinds of decks. The innervate card allows for some busted turns but every deck seems like they can have busted turns. And there’s a lot of powerful removal they printed as well - I see it remaining strong and possibly nerfed but the stats i’m seeing just don’t support it being oppressive.

Just the bad matchup with highlander mage will keep it in check for this expansion.

Demon hunter winrate is creeping up again, has me concerned. I ran into some token decks last night that gave me some trouble.

On another note, I'm a huge fan of the Studies cards. 2 Golden Nature studies is my first official craft of the expansion.

The ability to go coin, Lightning Bloom, Kael'Thas, in to either Guardian Animals or Survival of the Fittest is just bonkers.

It reminds me of Possessed Lackey + Dark Pact. If memory serves correctly, you could originally do that on turn 5. I think Lackey was 5 and Dark Pact was 0. That was a hella powerful play that shaped the whole meta.

Having Kael'Thas and Lightning Bloom available together blows that Kobolds and Catacombs junk out of the water. Cute Void Lord on turn 5. I'll take my 5 mana and rush down your Void Lord, and leave a ridiculous persistent threat on the board (probably behind some kind of taunt that I may or may not have given big stat buffs). If they could somehow pull like a 1 mana Cube I think you'd be talking similar power levels.

Paladin can do bonkers stuff on turn 4-5. Against the aggro decks, you’re probably facing lethal by turn 4-5. Mage can stall them out with freezes or just devolve them. Priest has plenty of removal.

I dunno. It’s definitely ridiculous but I have only seen like one game out of a ~100 games now that had the situation you just described, and iirc I was playing warlock and wiped their board with plague of flames.

As aggro rogue i can just sap and keep slamming face and unless they saved removal they’re in huge trouble by turn 5 if they have ignored my board for a huge combo like that.

I haven’t even played the druid deck, no interest. But honestly playing highlander mage and aggro rogue I don’t think I’ve lost more than a few games to them.

Gibberling druid on the other hand is some not fun bullshit to play against. Absolutely nothing you can do when they have the dream hand. Like literally nothing - you’ll be facing a full board of 2/2’s by turn 2, and dead to savage roar on 3.

So to counter the bigger druid and paladin decks, I've removed storms wrath, serpentshire portal, surging tempest and runic carvings and replaced it with devolving missles, diligent notetaker, marshspawn, and torrent.

Stealth/aggro rogue seems to do very well against guardian druid, they have almost no way to stop the onslaught of 3/1 stealths. Use the draw 5 cards from your deck for one mana card (broken af) to search for lethals when they’re pretty low and they are usually dead by turn 5-6 before the really busted stuff starts.

It seems to struggle against mage, but other than that I like most of my matchups. It’s important to smash the face as much as possible with this deck because it has hella reach. Nearly every card in the deck generates damage in some way.

I love that draw 5 card. It’s broken as hell but fun to play. It gives some really unique ev calculation kind of situations. Lots of times you need to gamble on pulling 7 damage from your draw, and it’s amazing how often you can actually pull those off. It’s a very aggressive deck that is hard to play but i think it’s gonna be a meta contender.

Akama can almost certainly be subbed out for whatever you want. You hardly ever get his final form to matter in a game. It’s happened for me exactly one time, and it did win the game, but it feels way too slow for this style of deck. I’m thinking of playing the 4/2 stealth that resummons itself instead.

Thanks jmakin. Tried it to get it to legend for a first time, but fell short. Climbed with paladin form gold five to diamond 1 but did not really get past from there. I think that rogue does pretty well against paladin too.

Played some more and made to legend for a first game. Almost messed up my last game. Misplayed combo and I was one off but opponent conceded.

I am still creepin my way to diamond 3 but if i put in volume i know this deck will take it to legend. It somehow a lot of the time just gets there.

Did you consider changing wolfrider out? It felt bit slow and high cost, but did not have much better ideas instead of that.

I'll second that the aggro rogue decks seem to be working really well right now. I don't generally like face decks so shy away from them a bit. I was playing quest rogue and really liking it but sitting just above 50% over 30+ games. Switched to a more aggro weapon based list with self-sharpening sword, krastinov (+1/+1 to weapon) and steeldancer and went 9-0 instantly so far.
