Any one remember the Mogu Cultist ? one manner 1/1 fill your board with seven to combine into a 20/20 that does 20 damage to everything ?

I just ran into a Rogue OTK Mogu Cultist deck. Draws through the deck Toggwagles schemes the cultist then Schemes the 20/20 so it can hit you in the face for 60 with its last cards. Looked very interesting didn't look consistent. I think i only lost because he used shadow of death on my waterbearer to get insane healing.

Tried Maiev once and did ok with him. He doesn't seem quite as bad to me as everyone says? You do get to buy minions for one gold even though you don't get them right away. Lady Vashj is garbage though imo. And Kael'thas is clearly the best of the three.

I'm trying to go murlocs with flurgl because flurgl and literally 5 of the last 6 are all going murlocs too. It's nuts. Never seen anything like it.

The problem is the board spot it takes up. If you use it every turn and have two minions dormant you see 20- 40% fewer minions each round level 4 and 5

I don't think I've ever had less fun playing the actual game. It would be completely dead in the water if released today but people are just committed.

Have you tried Runeterra yet? It's like hearthstone but better in every way. Plus the player base isn't jaded from years of dealing with blizzard's blunders so it still feels fresh and exciting. If I wanted to play a card game that's definitely the one I'd go with.

Man I want to play this. I'm hearing its good. Riot makes good games. Problem is they dont let you play from Thailand currently.

I've started getting bored of BG's. I play maybe one game a day now I'm at 7500ish. They need to add more minions and change stuff more often to keep it fresh. Adding just one minion and a couple weak heroes every few months just isnt enough.

I just play battlegrounds now and enough regular games to finish quests to stock up gold for the next perks thing.

Was into magic for the past years but taking a break from that.

demon hunter is the only sensible class left. everything else just wins off infinite value of random cards. who ruined this game so much

Hit legend this month only playing warlock. Mostly standard galakrond (the best warlock deck in my opinion) but I went from diamond 2 to basically the end with quest warlock.

Quest warlock’s a very interesting, complicated deck i’d like to get better at. My issue with it was mostly you rely on a 2 turn kill (otk if you can discount alex or maly) but some of the combo pieces you need for survival, particularly the heal. I also found it didnt generate enough board presence and sucked at minion pressure, but maybe there’s a different version that does those things better. Due to lack of minions it also dealt poorly with decks that go wide early like rogue and dh. Your only full board clear is a pair of twisting nethers.

Anyway highly recommend galakrond lock for this meta. It’s good against everything except I struggled a little with hunters who get a hot start.

OMFG I queue ONE game and it's against Priest. 28 minutes later, why do I play this game again? Why do I allow myself to endure that **** instead of just conceding and moving on?

I feel 10 times worse about actually subjecting myself to playing against Priest than I would just conceding and losing 5 stars.

I'm not saying I would rather lose to Altrius bullshit, but at least that happens about 15 minutes earlier in the mach. You aren't sitting there for half an hour (if you choose to play it out) thinking, "I'm 50/50 to either win an feel really annoyed and vindictive, or I'm going to lose and feel absolutely awful."

Galakrond warlock shreds priest to pieces

Galakrond Warlock is my main deck right now, I really like it.

I was playing spell Mage at the time. It's got enough to make you think you have a chance but you'll spend the last 10-15 turns pretty sure that you're going to lose.

Saurolisk has really slowed bgs down. No one dies anymore because everyones taking like 5 damage with every loss

Nice, no more holy mackerel too.

Kinda bummed about Mackerel actually because it was a key piece of a divine shield build I was using.

But, I'm glad that they are keeping things fresh and can't wait to try out the new pirate heroes and minions and come up with some new builds.

Mack could fit into just about every build that wasn't straight demons/beasts so it was always in multiple builds in the late game and made things a bit repetitive. Felt a bit silly throwing out a razormaw you've been developing for 5 turns in a full dragon build for a murloc with one buff that's straight up stronger.

Haven't been able to play yet but watched a couple of hours of streams. Straight pirates is a lot better than I thought it would be but very reliant on a couple of pieces and has a lower ceiling than other maxed out tribal builds. Parrot looks like it's too strong tbh. Almost always useful early game, easy to triple and turns into a golden goldrin at tier 5. Think beasts with baron, goldrin and birds can outscale dragons now unless they have nadina and earlyish kally.

Hooktusk might nock rafaam off the top hero spot. Seems super strong all the way through the game. The other two look good too.

I think I've played all the new heroes now and Hooktusk seems like the one with the most potential. Eudora (the one that digs for gold minions) is possibly pretty good too, though the one time I played her I got some pretty bad ones. Patches seems kinda meh as does Kragg.

Need to do some more experimentation with the parrot but it seems like it's really strong when combined with the right DR minions, like Goldrinn or Selfless Hero.

Hooktusk is too strong. Think its wr is significantly better than rafaam's already. Luckily there's an easy fix where they stop you being able to target 1 drops that might knock it out of t1 but keeps the flavour and would still be playable. The other two are fun, competitive and require their own play styles which is kinda perfect design. Feels weird saying that about a blizzard patch lol.

I was very wrong about maxed out pirates, with 3+ hoggarrs and 4+ looters they can out scale anything but exodia murlocs. Fun with edwin though a bit win more. Hoggarrs a good reno target too. Think reno got a little bump with geddon/goldrin getting better though will still be t4.

Mechs/divine shield comps kinda suck without fish, think millie will drop to maybe mid t4.

Drummer is a hidden buff to ysera.
Sky kragg makes forcing murlocs a bit less suicidal as you can skip tavern 4 completely. Think that's everything I picked up from a few hours of games/twitch

Just checked the numbers, hooktusk is the same distance ahead of rafaam, in turns of wr, as rafaam is from the 10th best hero (eudora).

Hooktusk is very strong. But not quite as strong as post-buff, pre-nerf Millhouse imo.

I think nerfing Saurolisk to 2 mana or removing it completely is a good enough nerf to Hooktusk and also good for the game.
