mage quest nerf is a joke and absolutely insulting.

Yeah it's awful. You usually complete the quest with extra spells in hand and have to stall a couple turns anyway to draw giants or make them cheaper. Had a mirror today where we both completed it on T4 and they played something like 15 spells.

Evocation doesnt care if it's 6, 8 or 10. Honestly 12 made sense.

Peaked @ 68 legend, currently top 100. I think it's as good as it gets vs aggro DH for rogue. I actually had 2 burrowing scorpids in the deck instead of the bone wraiths when I hit 68, but subbed them out today. The stealth package is nice in the early game, lets you get the trades you want vs early aggro pressure from DH and the additional card draw is great for gala rogue, it just makes things so much more consistent. It also allows you to run only one maniac, which is the worst card in the deck.

The secret package is just not good right now IMO. It takes up too many slots, and the payoff is something you don't want right now - there are just no sap targets in the meta. If the meta slows down and DH starts running priestess of fury again, I could see it being better, but not right now.

Exactly, it feels terrible when someone plays a crab against you. I've said as long as crabs are prevalent I'm not spending a dime on the game, and since i said that 2 years ago I've not spent a dime.

Worst part is mage has 2 crabs now - albatross (invalidating Reno, Zeph, and Dragonqueen) and that {4} 4/4 +4/+4 rush if you have a dragon card. Just completely terrible feeling knowing against say DH these cards are pretty terrible, yet they decided to play it against you anyways.

The other thing is a lot of decks don't have crabs against them (and they also happen to be the decks that rise to tier 1), so how is it fair or fun for only SOME decks to have cards that directly counter cards you're playing?

Lame balance patch yes but i can already see the altruis nerf hurting dh in a significant way in the games I’ve played. They often relied on a big swing turn with that card

I have been enjoying this expansion and rotation quite a bit. There seem to be a lot of fun decks out there. There are some that are not so much fun to play (against) but for the most part I would say that the game is in a really good place.

Galakrond Priest is really fun to play, but the games can be a real marathon. And I feel like it starts to approach that line of being toxically slow and reactive, even though it doesn't run Psychopomp or Mass Ressurection. The endless value is fun, but you're signing yourself and someone up for as long of a game as their deck is capable of playing.

Galakrond/Dragon Warlock is really fun, too. I am having trouble settling in on a deck list. It doesn't feel like it's in any real state of refinement. It either doesn't have enough dragons to reliably have one in hand, or doesn't have enough early game to stay alive. It's really fun to play. And I thought it at least had a 50% winrate, until I just checked the stats... but those are partially skewed because when I see Priest I will just concede sometimes. It's fun as hell to play but god-awful to play against.

Yeah it's been fun so far. Arena is a total **** show but I hit legend in both wild and standard which I've never done in the same month before. I've played a variety of terrible decks that are pretty fun.

Constructed has gotten a lot more fun, in spite of some of the issues. Playing a lot more of it and a lot less Battlegrounds, which has gotten a bit stale.

My best deck atm is a Dragon Hunter I put together after opening packs with some key pieces of it. I'm taking jmakin's advice (thanks for that) and doing aggressive decks that are more straightforward to play for someone who's still learning.

I also threw together a Demon Hunter deck when it came out and have had moderate success with it, even after the nerfs. That Priestess card and the combo of Wrathscale Naga with Command the Illidari still seem kinda OP.

The card is still a problem, and needs a proper nerf. The problem is that DH is an aggro deck that gets to have the best combo finisher in the game as an emergency backup. Their gameplan is now: Did I win turns 1-4? Yes, ok finish by smashing face. No? Ok, play skull on 6, and hope for a nutso Altruis turn to clear my opponents board and probably kill them. I've died from 23 vs an empty board. Altruis is capable of killing absolutely any board. It's way too powerful, even if it didn't hit face.

Blade flurry was too op tho.

Nice. I've just started playing again for the fist time it came out. The variance in it is insane though. Can be very tilting.

Pretty crazy final boss fight I just had. Yes that's two golden imp mamas and he had another golden juggler as well but no way though the Branned golden battlemaster.

I just pulled Altrius off Dragon's Hoard. I had Togwaggle's Draw 3 and reduce them to 0 spell ready to go as my rightmost card. I topdecked Spymistress for 1 mana and proceeded to go DH mode for a turn. I even got in a "Wow" emote before the opponent conceded.

Convincing Infiltrator is one of the worst cards they've ever printed.

It is both one of the most powerful and most annoying cards in the meta. On its own, it's really good value for 5 mana. You would want to play 2 of them in your deck. If you could play 4 of them in your deck, it would be even better. If you could play 6 of them in your deck, you would. If you could find a way to play 10 of them that would be awesome. If you could dedicate your deck to playing nothing but ****ing Convincing Infiltrators, maybe you would. Your opponents would rope the **** out of you because you're a plague on the ladder, but you can't possibly be surprised by that given the deck you''re playing.

I love Priest. I think the Galakrond deck is really fun. But I purposefully don't include Psychopomp or Mass Resurrection because I want to have fun without overtly being an ass.

Yeah i reallly hate that card. Its a good indicator that even if you win the games going to be such a slog that its barely worth playing out.

most baffling card printed this xpac is blazing battlemage

With the variety of lifesteal and board clears out there, I think aggro needs battlemage to even have a chance.
