Until then, gorehowl seems like a nice sub for elysiana in bomb warrior. If a deck is running weapon destruction anymore, you can bait it out with a wrencailber and then gorehowl just carves up boards. I feel like the priests from monty pythons Spanish inquisition when I whip that out

Yes and I'm sure it still performs adequately for what it's meant to do. But that's for fatigue which comes into play in a small percentage of games. And I'm not a 200 iq control warrior grandmaster so I don't do well in the long games anyway lol

I've never really played miracle rogue but have a hard time believing that you couldn't burst down mages and hunters with some variation of it. And that's over 50 percent of the meta right now, at least for me.

Played some rogue post nerfs, everything feels terrible. There’s some miracle list on hearthstonetopdecks that claims #2 legend but it seems like it was just a heater run from 100 legend. The list feels terrible. Maybe once in a blue moon everything lines up, but half of the time the miracle turns just don’t work. Either vendetta isn’t active or you don’t have the coin from wanted. Not to mention that thanks to the prep nerf, rogue is somehow worse when it comes to AOE. Druid is just an auto loss. As is warrior.

Alright boys. I cobbled this thing together on my own. Took me a few games to understand how best to use Pyro to stall out games, and I have a hard time with Control warrior (not bomb, weirdly enough) if they get ahead on armor before I can make a board presence, but I'm 65% winrate including the learning stage games from rank 20-10. I only played like 4 hours of ranked over the last couple days after not really having played HS for at least a year or so.





Attempt to draw the whole deck using the variety of draw tools (Cleric and Acolyte). Don't die. I'd say 70-80% of my wins are Alex their face into Vargoth 2xMindBlast the following turn, and the rest of the wins come from some combination of the opponent not being able to handle the damaged Stegotron mechs (healed up) or me getting some nasty Topsy Turvy face damage on them. The Lazul/Cabal combo does work in the games I draw Lazul early enough. Sometimes I wish I had 2 Circles and/or 2 Seances, but I think it's pretty consistent. The Mass Hysteria feels like the weakest card as it's a dead card in my hand for a lot of games, but it saves plenty of games (conjurer's calling can suck my nuts).


I also think it's hilarious that HSReplay doesn't know what to call the deck. Started as "Resurrection Priest" which is clearly wrong, and now it lists it as "OTK Priest".

Dalaran Heist is a lot of fun. It took me about 4 runs to really get in to it, but now I see how each run will feel different. Some decks end up being incredibly powerful, and it's really fun to be super OP and just mow over even the 8th boss.

Hit Legend for the first time! Secret Hunter ftw. I started playing the game for the first time ever around the start of 2019, so feels very good considering my collection leaves room to play only a handful of viable archetypes.

I actually barely played the first couple weeks of this month after playing the game nearly every day since January. I was frustrated with the Tempo Rogue frequency and dominance and wasn't enjoying playing any decks that I could actually afford. Then, I crafted Secret Hunter on a whim, spent all of my dust and then some (needed Subject 9 as well as a few other cards) and it clicked almost immediately. To my delight, it performed very well against Rogue. Within a few days, the announcement of the rogue nerfs came and I assumed the deck wouldn't be as good as I had been feasting on rogues (I think it was the only real bad matchup rogue even had). I was wrong. It's very good and/or competitive against every popular deck with the exception of Token Druid. I suspect part of what helps it is people mulligan'ing for Mech (or perhaps now even Midrange) Hunter and not having as much familiarity with the deck as some others.

Around high r2 and r1, I ran into a nice pocket meta of a lot of midrange and mech hunters, decks mine does quite well against. I rode an 8 game win streak into Legend and hit it in ~160 games with the deck. Felt awesome and was a fun ride with a lot of neat games where it felt like there was a lot of room for the more skillful player to win.

I'm skeptical the deck will continue to be as good once the round of buffs hits in a few days so I'm hesitant to recommend crafting it, but I'm happy to answer any questions about playing this deck. It's a lot of fun (imo Zul'jin most fun card in the game) and the only matchup you really dread is Token Druid, which seems to have gone down a lot in prevalence.

Assuming you want to play Standard only, I think you couldn't have picked a much better time to start playing. Blizzard seems to finally have realized that their player base doesn't enjoy stale metas, so I think Blizzard will be nerfing/buffing/adding random free OP legendaries at various times between expacs to keep things from getting too stale.

Add in the Arena rotation system and IMO the best single player content release with RoS, and I think the game is in a pretty solid spot atm.

That's awesome to hear. I don't know much about the history of the game, other than a general impression it's declined a bit in popularity, but I've already gotten a few people to start playing it or begin anew after a long time not playing and they all seem to be enjoying it a lot. Hopefully the game has a great future ahead of it. It's so well designed and a lot of the little touches and artwork are fantastic; it's a joy to play in a healthy meta. My hope is that Blizzard makes it less expensive, even 10% could probably go a long way; I think that's the main turn off for a lot of people.

quick thought is snap is an auto-include, it's a 3 mana sticky 4/5 played on curve, or can be used with itself on 6 for a 4/6 + 4 1/1s (10/10 of stats) and can also be combined with zilliax and other mechs
