1) Fibo could've thought he was ready to play a tournament irregardless of not playing regularly for two months and been wrong. This isn't the first time he has stepped away from the game and came back. And he's certainly good enough at the game to be able to perform well after a break. Kolento who plays regularly did the exact same thing Fibo did with the Acolyte and no dragon in hand the previous day on his stream. People **** up in games.

2) Free win thing is a big deal why? At least one person received a bye. Also, not giving a series your best isn't exactly better than just conceding and walking away.

It's one thing to laugh at the misplays Fibo made. It's another thing to laugh at the person himself and trash him for trying to do in his mind the right thing. People **** up and make mistakes. Being toxic towards him is worse than his "pathetic attitude"

I dunno... two months away from competitive hearthstone is longer than you think. They put a lot of thought and research into those decks. Like to an absurd degree, and spend a long time playtesting. I’d be amazed if he could take two months and then suddenly spawn a good lineup without a massive, massive amount of prep.

I just saw that misplay and there’s no way anyone who’s play tested that deck makes a mistake like that. That was a really brutal missed lethal. Like almost incomprehensible. I dont blame him for conceding the rest of his matches.

Usually the whole “missed lethal LUL” are lethals that arent super easy to spot or multi turn lethals that require a little foresight. But this was just horrific. My goodness

lol im trying all the mechathun decks and i just queued up warlock into 2 straight evenlock games running mojomaster. There's no defense. I'm trying to think of one but it's almost 0%.

I even kept coin all game. Can't survive once you're fatiguing and have no cards left to defend with. You can hold on to removal but if they're smart they can just wait until you have to play it and then drop mojomaster.

what triggers me about it is i really hate cards that can counter an entire deck, and hsreplay says it's only in 2.5% of decks but theres NO WAY that's true.

Third game got howlfiended. Lol. People are so dumb. Like I seriously can't imagine playing a bad deck just to counter another bad deck that's making up like maybe 5% of the meta.

I will say that priest deck is hard to pilot if you dont have the nuts

It’s a deck i have a little experience with. I usually love anduin decks, it’s the only golden legendary i ever crafted.

I dont know the kolento misplay but the reason the fibo one is so surreal is the only possible way it can happen is if you dont understand the deck and how it works, on a really fundamental level. Like someone else said with that deck you are CONSTANTLY checking health totals and how far away you are from lethal and what your outs are. But he went with the hurr durrr there’s a board and i have primordial let’s slam it down.

And he didnt even realize the misplay for like a while too. I dont know, for me as much as ive played that style of deck for the last few years, it is almost unbelievable anyone of his caliber would make that mistake.

Oh and if you want a fun tech at dad legend right now, take out an acolyte and play mojomaster. It’s a free win card against like 10% of ladder and not a bad tempo finisher card against other non OTK control decks

Several of the bigger guys have left, Sjow and Savjz come to mind. Savjz went full Artifact (you never go full Artifact) and quickly realised it was a mistake, lol. He's also on MTGA now.

Losing DKs in next rotation will shake things up certainly. Only ones left will be Dr Boom, Hagatha and Zuljin.

It depends on matchup. Usually you are just applying steady minion pressure until they come within range of a big alex 25 pt hit, and you finish them off with burn over a few turns. That’s usually how it goes. Rarely if ever do i set up the full 16 damage mind blast combo. You can win a lot just with your minions and burst, anduin isnt always necessary.

It’s actually an extremely difficult deck to play very well. I am enjoying it.

The best analogy is comparing it to that old hybrid burn mage. Basically anytime your minions are slapping the enemy in the face it’s really bad for them because you have an innate 20 pts of burn + alex + discovered spells and anduin chip damage.

You need to be really alert at knowing when you can push and when you need to play more defensively. I usually err on the side of aggression. You need to know what heals they have. If they have none, like hunter and rogue, it’s just about surviving and then killing them in a few turns

Each matchup plays very differently. Im getting STOMPED by OTK pally and i havent really figured that one out yet.

yeah if you stick a minion or two for like two turns you basically auto win unless you're playing pre-nerf druid (impossible) or odd warrior

they probably will print another DK. dks were a massive mistake, power level is insane too strong

People's brains shut down sometimes. It happens. Feel bad for Fibbo that it happened on stream. You see bigger punts in poker. Not sure how many of you guys have played Hearthstone for 8-10+ hours straight for days but I'm sure some fatigue sets in too (I've personally never played that long...).


Mechathun has some really polarizing matchups it's just an autolose versus ha'kar. I like playing the deck though because turns where you draw lots of cards are fun.

There was some card that you turned you into Ragnaros.

The cards not from KoFT (Hagatha, Zul'jin, Jaraxus) are called "hero cards" not DKs though the DKs are hero cards.

Yeah, Majordomo and Jaraxxus are NOT Death Knights/Hero cards. They change your health totals.
